Three of us stayed for a night. Chose this place to explore Monteverde. We had a warm welcome and a nice early breakfast to start the day. Clean place and superb value for money.

The breakfast here was very nice - there was a few options so I was able to mix it up a bit each day. There is a mini market next door. I ate in the restaurant one night and the food was very good . The room I was given initially was awful - one of the walls was not complete and the room was very cold. I also had a very noisy neighbour who was shouting and tv up full blast. However I was given a better room immediately and there was no extra charge. I loved the town of Santa elena and all the national parks- there is lots to do in the area.

The shared bathroom was a disaster. There was only one bathroom between a few rooms - so if someone was in the shower you can’t pee or brush teeth. Some guests made a terrible mess of the bathroom but it was cleaned immediately. A mirror in the room would have been nice. The location was a little disappointing for me - in hindsight I would have preferred to be closer to Santa elena - while the town is only 800metes down the road it’s a steep climb back up.

- the worst 5 stars hotel I've ever been to (rating should be 2 stars) - dirty and dusty rooms (ants and other insect) - dirty bed full of hair (from previous guests) - no equipment (1 towell for 2 people, damaged TV, no A/C, no personal lights only some cables leading to nowhere) - rude and arogant cleaner - no window in the room - frequent noise and vibrations from wind - light breakfast

La ubicación es excelente, el desayuno estuvo bien tenían tres opciones y te dan un platillo de frutas.

Las llaves de la ducha no iban bien, cama y almohadas poco confortables y muy mala la señal del WiFi en la habitación que me asignaron.

Clean hostel in the middle of Monteverde with friendly staff!

Such a beautiful location! Everything was pristine.

Los dueños del hospedaje fueron súper amables y atentos, además de que siempre estaban disponibles para cualquier cosa y te daban recomendaciones. La habitación era muy amplia y limpias, la comida era casera y deliciosa. Sin lugar a duda un sitio que recomendaría.

Juan Carlos y Marta, la pareja que regenta el hotel es sencillamente genial. Muy amables y hospitalarios. Hacen las cosas con cariño y eso se nota. Se nota en el resto, en las raciones es de la comida, en los cócteles….Me he sentido como en casa en todo momento. Me han ayudado en todo lo que he necesitado. Totalmente recomendable. A 2 min en coche de Santa Elena. Localizado en el cerro. Al lado de un par de restaurantes y de un supermercado y del centro médico. Con parking reservado para clientes. Si te alojas allí tienes la plaza reservada.

Las instalaciones espaciosas y cómodas, y Juan Carlos y Marta encantadores y muy dispuestos a ayudar.

Estaba pegado a la carretera y se oían bastante los coches.

Martha is so friendly and helps you with everything. The room was very big and comfortable. Only no fan, but you can open the window and it will cool down on sunny days. We had a shared bathroom with only 1 other room. They clean it often so it was perfect.

Recommendation: a small bin in the room (but maybe they don’t want it because it can attract ants)

Closeness to everything. Marta is a great chef!👍👍 Juan Carlos is a great friendly guy! 👍👍 Great value, definitely. For the weather and time of the year, AC or fan is totally not needed. The rooms have high ceilings, we only needed to open a high window to get circulation.

Address was hard to find for GPS. Had to call to get next door restaurant as landmark.

The rooms are super comfy, the staff is really kind and helpful and the food is the best I’ve had in Costa Rica.

Host was great, food delish, beautiful sunsets, great location. A hidden gem and pleasant surprise!! The dinner was one of the best Italian meals I've ever had, followed by homemade lemoncello! Authentic Costa Rica breakfast was wonderful and great location to visit Monteverde.

I felt nervous when I chose this hotel for our team, because it seemed too good to be true. Amazing price, glowing reviews, great location... I am so, so, so glad I booked this spot though, because it was so well located and it was exactly what we needed. The rooms are not crazy-fancy or elaborate, but if you're in Monteverde and staying in your room, you are doing something wrong. The food is spectacular, and the owner/host/dueño guy is (this is not exaggeration) the best host I've ever stayed with anywhere. He was so friendly and so helpful. Comfortable beds, good location, fantastic host.

The wi-fi was not reliable. It worked downstairs in the restaurant, but was much weaker upstairs in the rooms. The shower water was warm, but never hot.

Price vs quality is worth it. The location isn't central, but close to the Monteverde Biological Preserve. The hotel has a restaurant/bar and there are 2 more restaurants next to it. The employee was super nice and welcomed us with a nice cold fruit juice.

It says it's a studio, but it's actually a room with a bathroom. The balcony with the island and chairs is a common area, it's shared with the other guests. The room window opens to that balcony, not the exterior.
