I founded more bugs. It's not a problem, we are in a island it can happen but I suggest to try to solve the problem. The fridge didn't make cold.

Comfy beds, quiet location despite being so close to the centre

First of all, it was described as a one bedroom house with sea view - it was a room with a fridge, sink and toilet, no view except the inner patio, and not much natural light coming in. It was cleaned every day but yet there were still many ants. The table was a tiny thing where I could barely open my laptop. All in all, I will not go back there.

The most awful experience ever

I stayed therek 1 night on 16.8. I booked a room with 3 beds as no other one was available. The room had a weird smell but moreover the airco worked extremely purely, there was no window and there was no hot shower despite I specified that I would arrive between 8 and 9pm. There were no beds just mattresses laying on the floor. Nobody also told me that I should switch any button to have it warm. Then I switched to another hotel but on 19th due to its unavailability and unavailability of other hotels in Lindos on Saturday I booked FOR 90 EUR FOR A PERSON again Astoria hotel UNDER THE CONDITION that booking clearly showed I am booking a different 1 bed room with a proper bed !!!! Upon arrival I was shocked 1. I was put into the same room as 3nights before ! BUT this time it completely escalated !! 2. The airco did not work at all !! and it was 33 degrees in the room with no windows. After the older "owner" kept playing with the remote and just signalling me "ah well" signs for 50min and me being completely upset, he gave me a DISGUSTING airfan to use. At the end I had to spend a night in the room with 30 degrees to sleep in and no fresh air !!! 3. Shower was not working well and water went all around !! 4. THE WORST WAS ABOUT TO COME : at 23.30 when I got back from the town to lay down, I a COCKROACHES came out from underneath the mattress that is laid on the floor !!!! (So there is no proper bed) and they kept running hiding around mattress until they hid themselves under the wardrobe and in a whole between the floor and the wall. The owner did nothing, actually was even laughing at me and not able to communicate anything with me. At the end. At 1.30am he left in his room and I was left in my spending a sleepless night. I claimed reimbursement from the owner but no response whatsoever. I launched a complaint with booking and consumer protection agancy. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL. c.

Everything was ok

Managed by a local family. They have their own inner courtyard and basic rooms with windows facing the yard. You get a sense of living in a rural community, sharing the yard etc. All the needed is available from functioning toilet and shower to drying racks, cutleries, air conditioner included in the price. All the restaurants etc right behind the corner but you wont be disturbed by loud club music since streets eat up all the sound.

Don't expect acropolis nor bay views. You pay for a comfort budget stay in the heart of Lindos. If you want views, you have to pay 3--4x times their price. Family speaks barely English. Their teenage daughter functioned as a translator. But we got around well and no problems.
