We came in for a Preseason Steelers game. The neighborhood was wonderful, but upon arrival someone was in our designated parking spot. We did communicate with the manager and all was fine. However the lower apartment was musty, and it was not as advertised in the pictures. The kitchen floor was a basement floor, cold and unkept. For the price we had paid, it was a disappointing apartment and we were next to the dirty laundry room. We LOVE Pittsburgh but this place was a disappointment.

The location of this property was wonderful and my husband and I truly enjoyed being so close to Walnut street and all that it had to offer. Great restaurants and shopping opportunities. We were close to downtown pittsburgh and everything was easily accessible. As far as the actual condition of the property, it seems to be a newer renovation. Although the furniture is modern and clean, there were some flaws. Since it is located in the basement of what I believe to be a more historic home, we were greeted by a strong musty smell. The air conditioning units were not turned on before our arrival and it was quite humid. There were a number of insects in the shower and gnats that flew out of the drain. This might be a good option for college students, but not necessarily a couples get away. In addition, if you are on the taller side, it could get uncomfortable with the low ceilings in the basement.

To stay near Walnut Street with a parking spot - this place is great! The problem - which was a big one - was complete lack of response from the property owner. Since we had two big issues that was a problem. The air handling/cooling/humidifier in the bedroom was disconnected from the window. I sent pictures and asked for help. No response. Then after showering, when using the hairdryer, the breaker went out, so no power in the living room, bathroom, or bedroom outlets. We searched for the breaker, called the emergency number, waited for call backs, called again, finally had someone give us the codes for all the lock boxes to search for a key to get into the breaker room. Finally got the key only to find the lock on the breaker room was broken. The property management line couldn't recommend any other actions so my husband finally just pushed on the "lock" and was able to get it open to find the lock had been filled with a sealant type material. We flipped the breaker and got power back on, almost 12 hours later. In all of this time, no reponse from the owner even though I messaged multiple times through the portal. Really disappointing.

The property was very clean and the location of the property was perfect. Communication with the property manager was great. I would highly recommend this property.
