we came back in August 2023. The unit itself is great, though we will never do it again in the month of August. What we did not know at the time, the entire area is basically shut down from mid August to mid to late September. There maybe two or three unites that were occupied during our entire stay out of twenty some units becasue the entire North area shut down during that time except maybe one or two restaurants/business. The upside was we had the beach pretty much all to ourselves and the fish out there were amazing!! Another thing to take note is the mosquitoes were CRAZY aggressive! I got bitten all over my body even though I had long sleeves rash guard on!
Unit itself is great, have all the amenities you needed, the host was nice and gave us a bottle of wine, coffee and local bakery goods. Love the master bedroom bathroom's big shower. If we come back to Grand Cayman not in August we will definitely choose this unit again.

Absolutely amazed by the property, the communication from the owners/operators, and the amenities it offered. Full snorkle gear, sand toys for my daughter, right on the water with private beach (that during our time no one was utilizing other than us). Our stay orginally was from Saturday to Thursday but with the hurricane Beryl, we had to extend the stay. We moved hotels to somewhere more inland but that was nothing negative about this property. The property was fully ready to take on the storm, we just mitigated as much risk as possible. Before, during and after the storm, the owners/management we extremely helpful and responsive to messages and offered any help they could. When we come back, I will be sure to only stay at this resort, I could not be more happy with everything. 200/100.

My sister and I took our first vacation together ever and neither of us had been to the Cayman Islands. The condo we stayed in was very clean, functional and well-decorated. The view of the beach from the primary suite was indescribable! We spent a lot of time on the beach there and enjoyed the sunsets. The welcome gift basket from the owner was an extremely nice touch as well! If we visit the Caymans again we will definitely consider staying here again!

This was a beautiful place to stay and great for catching the sunrise! The gift basket was an awesome surprise. Host was very responsive. Everything we needed was there, even some coolers so we could pack snacks for a day out. Easy check out. Thanks for the great memories!

Great two bedroom with walk out to fantastic snorkeling

We were very happy with this property. I booked this place because I wanted a location that had beach snorkeling. 7 Mile Beach and East end are a lot more expensive and we couldn't justify the cost given this property's location, amenities, space and furnishings. The unit is very nice and spacious. It had a fully stocked kitchen, snorkeling equipment, beach towels, games, books, ample linens, etc. The beach in front of the retreat complex was almost separated into about three smaller coves. This unit was in front of a smaller rockier cove that afforded a lot of privacy and the same snorkeling access. The other two coves were not as rocky and had a good-sized areas of sand for beach lounging. We rented a car, which I think is a must, bought groceries for the week from Fosters, and ate out a few times. This unit did not have the view afforded by other units, particularly those on higher floors. But for the price, this could not be beat. Communication with the rental agency and property managers was extremely prompt and helpful.

My family and i stayed at the property. Extremely clean, comfortable, and safe place. Couldnt be more happy with our stay. Just outside the back door is a fantastic beach that never had more than 6-7 people on it. A few days we were the only people on the beach. We had a great experience and can’t wait to go back!

This was our third stay at Rum Point, and our second stay at the Retreat. We were welcomed with a yummy gift basket of wine and snacks. King bed was super comfortable, lounge chairs on patio were perfect for coffee and a book, kitchen well-stocked, and plenty of room for our family of 4 to relax on the comfy couches. Also appreciated having a nice supply of snorkel gear. Highly recommend!!

This place is truly Paradise, I am giving it 25 stars, honestly. The communication with the management team and the owner was outstanding, everyone was very responsive caring, and kind. The huge, very nicely furnished apartment has everything you need. You are steps away from the beach, both the nice and calm for little kids and the one that has the most amazing snorkeling. The apartment does have lots of snorkeling gear and we left some beach toys for the kids (the owner generously gifted beach toys, a special thank you to him).
The place has tons of towels, blankets, beach towels, etc. You are provided with toiletries, just need toothpaste. It even has a toddler potty, everything has been thought of!
I would buy groceries on the way to the condo, we did so at Hurley's, so you can schedule pick up ahead of time. The grocery store near the condo is more expensive and has a limited selection, but great for last-minute shopping. It has alcohol as well and is open 7 days a week.
Thank you so much, again, for a great stay! I highly, highly recommend this condo to everyone, it will be one of your best vacations, seriously!

This unit was just what we wanted and needed for our vacation to the Cayman Islands. We booked last minute but everything was as stated on the website. The unit was so clean and organized. Rum Point was the perfect location for our small family. We enjoyed being on the “countryside” of the island. The only small thing I would change would be to get smart tv’s for all rooms. Just for rainy days when you have to stay in for weather or families want to be able to stream from Netflix or Hulu. We had perfect weather but just a thought. We will definitely book again! We loved it so much!

We loved the property but it was very far away from the beautiful 7 mile beach. The beach at the property had lots of seaweed which was very disappointing. So we did not go to the beach there. Instead we drive to starfish point about 5 mins drive and seven mile beach about a 55 min drive.
