We had a car accident on our way. Let the property know immediately. Would have understood paying for the first night but having to pay the second to me puts them in the class of greedy just being in it for money, not hospitality.

We literally had to leave on Saturday morning due to the intense smell from the mold. It triggered myself & my granddaughter's asthma very bad.

Good accomodations. Solid. Dated, but functional and clean. Aircon worked great for meatlocker sleeping temps. TV had enough choices if we wanted to watch anything. We don't spend a lot of time in the room, so. Walkable to the boardwalk and a few local restaurants (~8-17 min. depending). Great stretch of beach with private access from hotel. Staff is sweet and helpful. Enjoyed it off-season after Labor Day. Note some restaurants, etc. are closed for the off season.

Noisey neighbors....but that's not the hotel's fault. Just bad parenting skills.

It's a great choice if you want to be close to the beach and just need minimal comfort. The staff is very nice, and rooms are adequate and mostly clean. You can walk to most restaurants which is great in the evening.

Location and beach access were great. The pool chairs were broken and uncomfortable. The room seemed old and the window was broken so we couldn't get any fresh air in the room, it got stuffy and hot. We didn't love that on our semi- private balcony that the people next door were smoking every time we went out there.

Our room had a beautiful view of the ocean and the beach access is excellent and convenient. Easy walk to the Boardwalk for activities and dining. The room smelled a little musty, but that is very common in beach front properties and they had just experienced a hurricane. For the price and convenience it was well worth it. Would definitely consider staying here again.

Nice for an older beach place. Updated which helped a lot.

Time is important coming on vacation. I made reservations paid on line . And was updated on. . They text me earlier than 4:00 which is regularly the check in time letting me know our room would be ready on arrival . I was given a code to unlock the door. Never had to go into an office to wait in line to get checked in, and then wait on print outt of my receipt.

I didnt like that there was no parking.

Great place to stay!

The location is amazing, however, the overall cleanliness and condition of the hotel is severely lacking. There was black mold in the tub around the faucet and in the sliding door frame. There was also a chair covered in stains in the room. I took photos and shared them with the manager.

We had such a nice time at the beach house; it was comfortable, quiet, clean, and relaxing. Everything we needed in one place. We will definitely be back!

My rating would have been higher if the floors were clean. My daughter, she is 11 months old crawls. She was on the floor for less than 5 minutes and her knees and feet were black. She spent the remainder of our stay in the pack and play.

Nice view from the balcony. Perfect location.

We really liked how quickly we could onto the beach from the room and that we could sit out on our balcony and see the ocean. The room was what one would expect for a beachfront hotel. The expected amount of water damage from constant humid and sea air. Our main complaint would be the bathroom - it was very cramped. Also, we have 2 small kids and one of the reasons we picked this hotel was that it had a tub instead of just a shower. There was no stopper for the tub so we could not bathe the children in the tub. The sliding shower doors did not open all the way, which meant we had to get in the shower with the kids to try to get them washed up. But overall, it was a nice place to stay. We walked down to the boardwalk for dinner twice and it was an easy walk. The beach in front of the hotel wasn't crowded and it was nice for the kids.

Clean and good location

No worries at all !! We had the best time and with excellent parking and swimming options too.

We checked out early. Good points to my stay: great view/AC/comfortable bed, but it ends there. Overall the stay has not been very enjoyable. I was told I was getting towels directly from the front desk lady. She said they were in the dryer. Three hours later, she handed me two pool towels after I begged for something to use. I still had no wash cloths/bath mat/etc. The trash was also not removed, and the bottom of trash can was nasty. I have never stayed somewhere and been so dissatisfied. I would like an explanation as to why I was told a lie twice by the office staff and once by housekeeping. If I hadn't been given the two pool towels, we would have had nothing in the room since we put the used ones outside by the door per housekeeping. If you are not going to refresh towels, it needs to be addressed upfront.

Very clean and check in/out was a breeze. Right on the beach and the views were incredible.

This is our second time staying there in 2months

Newly renovated, wonderful stay.

The location was perfect! Right on the beach and walking distance to many restaurants. The hotel was clean, however the bathroom was very outdated and not very clean. There was a hole around the shower head, which itself was black. We payed for an extra parking pass, but never received it. When we called (twice), we never received a call back, however they took the money out right away. We were locked out of our room because they had our checkout date wrong in the system. Thankfully there happened to be someone checking rooms and they were able to fix it. Not having a front office to go to makes it very hard to have small things like this taken care of.

Average overall performance

I would have given The Beach House 4 stars because of the amenities - right in the beach, has an outdoor shower & pool, & they offered to let us stay parked, use the pool & shower after checkout. Also, at first blush, the place seemed pretty clean. However, while we never wore shoes in the unit, after showering & walking from the bathroom to the bedroom I noticed my feet were extremely dirty. I used a paper towel to spot check a few places & found the floor was absolutely filthy. Then my husband pointed out that the locks on the kitchen window were completely broken off & the window could easily be opened from the outside. Below the window were the rocking chairs, so breaking into the unit was extremely simple. Even more appalling - the locks were sitting in the kitchen drawer & all that was needed to put them back up was a screwdriver. We were so unnerved, we reached out to maintenance but they never responded. We didn’t sleep well that night at all. Also, once my husband pointed this out, I started to pay more attention to my surroundings. I noticed nearly none of the large outside lights went on. I saw AC units that were so corroded the metal didn’t even exist in places anymore (the AC is VERY loud too). Nails were sticking up (sometimes pretty far) in the wood in the decking. And the microwave broke the last day. When I went to the front office, they brushed it off, saying the didn’t know - why can’t just do regular maintenance checks? This would solve the issue.

We had a great beach trip at the beach house.

Will return Office very pleasant. Rooms clean for beach hotel. Loved the nonsmoking. Beautiful view from porch Property pool is important to us Pool was clean.
