The staff are awesome, you cant expect any better service anywhere , super friendly easy going and helpful , the rooms don't have anything at all and are old

The only good thing about this place is that room 201 has the upper balcony that overlooks the ocean. Now the Cons: our balcony sliding door didn't lock. So essentially anyone from the beach could walk up and climb up on our deck and open the sliding glass door. We didn't feel secure and I didn't trust my belongings there while I was away. I told the front desk guy about it and he came to my room with the maintenance guy and they couldn't fix it. He said we'll get you a stick. It took over an hour and a text to him asking if he was going to bring down a stick to secure the door. Finally the maintenance guy came and gave my husband a broom handle. The damn stick was too long to wedge in door jam! My husband texted the front desk guy and said the stick is too long and doesn't work. He read the message and chose to ignore us the rest of the night. So I ended up taking a wooden chair and wedging it in the door jam to secure it while we slept. We didn't feel safe so we left the next day. The hotel manager was there and asked us why. We told him our reasons and he never offered to refund us our money for the second night we paid for. I was just done with them. The room itself was fairly clean. Bare bones minimum. The shower drain was gross with a busted metal cover. The curtain on the broken sliding back door had black mold growing on it. The food is not good. The service at the restaurant was good. They were nice. Front desk guy was super rude.

This is a beautiful hotel, right in front of the ocean. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The property looks recently updated and in a great location.

We can’t say enough good things about this place. It was newly renovated, we were in a room directly on the beach with a patio over looking the beach and the sea. It was a dream location. The beach and sea are right there for swimming & sun bathing. The staff are really friendly with a shoutout going to Eric, Alan & Angela who patiently helped us navigate SIM cards, places to visit and pretty much any requests. We really appreciated the great conversations too. One thing to note is there is no fridge or coffee maker in the rooms but we were told these will be comming. Highly recommend and take no notice of the bad reviews many months ago as the hotel is under new ownership and has been renovated. Thankfully we read the review that mentioned this or we would have missed out on a real gem !! We will be back !

Ignore the negative reviews. They are from years ago before the hotel was torn down. This place is BRAND NEW!! I can't say enough positives about this hotel. Rooms are beautiful with great A/C, comfortable beds, and lovely decks. Location is right on the beach where the restaurant serves amazing food. The staff were the best - very helpful and accomodating. I wouldn't stay anywhere else!!

Pretty basic place to stay if you want access to the beach and the local restaurants & bars. The room was a bit run down with only one bright light and lumpy pillows on the bed. There was no safe in the room, and Wi-Fi only near the front desk. Pool and their beach area was great, though we were woken up at 6:30-7am by a group of 30+ people using it for a party. They didn’t clean our room while we were there (2 nights)

The facilities for the price. During the day they have people in the pool etc which are not guests of the hotel.

Pros: staff is friendly and helpful, right on beach, macaws and iguanas in trees, breakfast is sufficient, A/C works, easy walk to restaurants Cons: run down, hotel sells day passes to pool so it was FULL, dogs and food in pool, some safety concerns like extension cords with phones plugged in on the edge of pool, “bar” only has one kind of canned beer and some sodas, bugs and ants in rooms, pool had hazy water It was ok if you were just passing through and needed a place to sleep for one night. We felt safe.

Price was double what this was worth in CR. Nice location on the beach, but sparse amenities. WiFi only in front of the office. Worst thing is they bus in people for the day on Saturday and Sunday who crowd the pool and beach area leaving no place for hotel guests. There were easily 100 on Sunday - no regard for the overnight guests.

We asked for help to book a tour and she never helped us. There were cucaraches in the room . There was hair in the breakfast .

The hotel is nice, right on the beach,breakfast was good, nice artwork in the garden. We really enjoyed our stay here would definitely recommend

The staff, was very unfriendly and everything needs maintenance; seems like the hotel is falling down. The pool and also the pool's bathroom have fungus. No pool rules... everybody eats in the pool and water was cloudy and disgusting.Nobody cares about pool's cleanliness. I got my breakfast on a reused (not washed dish) . In summary, not a nice place. Overrated !!!

The room was beautifully decorated with art work on the walls. The cleaning person was creative in decorations with towels. I liked the view of the ocean.

Im ashamed i paid so much for such a terrible hotel. Im terribly disappointed at what poor value it was. Hotels.com and the owners of the hotel should all be ashamed of themselves. uncomfortable bed, room full of cockroaches. I didn't even get a towel... just a bath mat. no shampoo. Nice beach.

Great resort style hotel. beautiful views, nice pool, good food at the restaurant and great staff

Place is very relaxing. Good for a surf trip just don't expect 5 star amenities. They offer a free breakfast (desayuna tipico or continental) and coffee. They could use new pillows. Surf conditions in front of the hotel can get pretty serious. Not for beginners. Overall a nice Costa Rica vibe.
