Very cute and well maintained. The location was quaint. The proprietor was responsive and helpful. The location was reasonably good, and parking was right next door. It is a small town, so navigating the streets by car is the only drawback. That, and no air conditioning. There are ceiling fans in all the rooms, but on at least one night they weren’t enough for a mid-July heatwave. Overall, very happy with this location.

This cute village house is about as authentic as it can get in the Provence. It is situated close to many beautiful villages.
The rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. It is nicely decorated and has everything one needs despite not being very large. The middle stairway leading to the rooms up and down was very quaint and would be hard for the elderly but for a family easy to maneuver.
The only drawback is that it has only one bathroom but with a separate WC . We gladly traded that compared to other accommodations on the market at that price.

We chose this property because we wanted a typical provencal house, it exceeded our expectations. The house was well equipped and we found everything we needed. The location in Velleron is charming and the church bells added to that charm, the locals were friendly and helpful.
Velleron is an ideal place to explore from- L'isle sur la sorgue, Gordes Carpentras and Fontaine de Vaucluse were all beautiful as were the lavender and poppy fields and the numerous streams and rivers.
The evening farmers market in Velleron was a daily stroll for us. We cooked and ate lovely fresh produce each day of our stay.
I would definitely love to visit Provence again and L'Oustau St Michel would be my first choice for accommodation!
Thank you Sandrine and Richard for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home

Washing machine was broken and we wasted 2 mornings of our stay going to L'isle sur le sourge to a super market to do washing. Had difficulty finding this facility. Both couples had travelled extensively before arriving at the house with lots of washing. Also cost to do the washing. 2 toilet rolls are not enough for 4 people for 8 nights. Also would have liked some basics supplied like soap, salt pepper, oil for cooking.arriving on a Saturday evening made these difficult to obtain till Monday (even main supermarkets close Sunday pm - as we found out in the afternoon). Very hurried explanation from caretaker on arrival (you have to ring her to get her to come- which she did promptly) with no explantion of exit procedure. The house was great for 4 but would be crowded with 6 adults. The location is great with many tourist areas within 40 kms. Parking is right next door and we almost always parked 2 cars there easily. Local Velleron Sunday am bricante market was excellent. Courtyard was very good with setting for 4. Dishwasher and cooking facilities were fine (tablets provided for full stay). Ps local general store is good but closed Sunday and Monday, same for the bread shop.

Beautifully decorated Provencal digs with a private patio under a 16th century church bell tower - inaudible when asleep with windows shut - on a quiet street in a quaint village. Steep stairs and first level loo may be a strggle for some. Ground level is beautifully decorated and kitchen is nicely equipped. Owner rep is very helpful, townsfolk are friendly - boulangerie, Cafe Casino and Chichi's "supermarket' are just minutes walking away - and the location is ideal for exploring the Vaucluse.

We were very disappointed that the owners did not inform us of the Votive Festival taking place in the village, whilst we were there. We were unable to park next to the property because there was a fairground ride next to the apartment which went on to 2am on Friday and Saturday. The noise was unbearable, and we are unable to sleep until all the noise finished at 2:30 onwards. As we were at a family wedding on the Saturday we were unaware of the disturbance in the afternoons. Sunday was impossible to relax either in the cottage or in the courtyard garden which was described as a haven of peace. That is certainly wasn’t . From the day we arrived the parking situation was atrocious, we had to park on different streets every day and only when we could find a space, Saturday and Sunday was extremely difficult. This impacted on bringing cases and supplies back to the apartment as they had to be carried a long way. The road closures also made this difficult.
This fair ruined what should have been an idealistic visit to France, the cottage was excellent, and the town would have been superb, however the fair ruined the ambiance of the town and in our opinion made the property unrentable. Had we known about the fair and the noise it would have caused we would have booked alternative accommodation. We contacted the owners during our stay who stated that the town officials did not inform them that the fair was taking place, however the compensation offered was not acceptable by us and only accepted by the people renting the smaller accommodation. I have contacted the owners numerous times since returning only to be ignored.

We (3 adults) stayed in this charming cottage for 12 nights in June 2018. We chose this property for the quaintness of the home and the town. It was in a great location for exploring nearby towns of L'Isle Sur la Sorgue, Thor, Avignon, Aix-en-Provence, Arles and the hilltop towns like Gordes and Venasque.
The home had everything we needed and had plenty of space for the 3 of us. It is a very old building, but it was furnished very nicely with modern furniture, but also with many antiques. We particularly loved the cafe stand in the kitchen that was an old sewing machine. There were no pantry items, other than coffee, tea and dish and laundry soap. Plenty of lovely dishes, pots and pans and even a food processor.
The bedrooms and bathroom were upstairs on several different levels. The rooms were spacious and very nicely decorated. It was very hot during our stay and very uncomfortable. There were ceiling fans in the bedrooms and an additional room fan that we moved around. It was difficult sleeping because we couldn't keep the windows open at night due to the 2 different church bells that toll on the hour and 1/2 hour. We are light sleepers.
The little garden was nice and we enjoyed our meals out there. The star jasmine that grows up the wall gave us a very pleasant fragrance to enjoy. There is a table and 6 chairs and an outdoor grill. The yard/garden is shared with the adjacent apartment but both units have their own private space.
The building is very old and it does have an unpleasant musty smell on the main level. We opened the windows when we could, but had to close them in the afternoon to keep out the west sun.
We did enjoy our stay here and highly recommend it. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that parking was a problem during our stay. There is a festival in Velleron in July and in June they set up a stage and a seating area in the church parking lot (where we are supposed to park). There were several times that we came home late and had difficulty finding a parking spot for the sized car we had.
The town of Velleron is delightful - old buildings and narrow brick streets. There are a pizza place, Vietnamese restaurant and a bar at the end of the street. The Farmer's Market every night is wonderful! We enjoyed the fresh vegetables and fruit - especially the beautiful strawberries. We also found some treasures at the flea market.
Many thanks to Sandrine and Richard for great communication and sharing their lovely home.

We are a family of 5 and this Velleron gite was perfect. Very clean and all amenities. Virginie was so nice and answered all our questions promptly. Short walk to the boulangerie/patisserie for breakfast (get there early before they sell out!) Well located for day trips to St Remy, Luberon, Avignon, Arles, and more. We loved this place and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

This is a very beautiful home with a lot of character. The decor are remarkable and furnishings are lovely. The neighbors are friendly. The patio was relaxing when it was warm out. It is a close walk to a nice bakery, which we went to daily for fresh bread or croissants. There is also a grocery store that was a short walk away. It is ideally located in a small French town (Velleron) that is a close drive to many nice sites worth visiting (Orange, Avignon, Fontaine de Vaucluse, Roussillon, etc). The restaurant in Velleron seemed to be a local hangout so we didn't go there, but Isle sur la Sorgue is a 7 minute drive and has many nice restaurants along the canal. Overall, a wonderful stay!
