We had a great time beachin, fishing and relaxing. The house was just what we needed for a family of 4. My kids loved the downstairs room making it “their own”. The hosts were very responsive and accommodating. We will definitely be back!

The property was very clean and well kept. The beds were super comfortable. We were out a lot but we did enjoy playing some of the games and sitting on the deck. We loved having the grill.

The weather was rainy and cool. The house was a great place of just relax. I fished a little bit but that wasn't our main purpose. We had our XMAS celebration there and it was awesome.

We enjoyed our stay at the property. We loved the cleanliness and all of the different activities the house offers. Our favorite was kayaking the canal. The house looked exactly like the images online which is not always the case. Everything we needed to know was provided for us so we didn’t have to ask any questions about anything. Check-in was a smooth process, and best of all, we were only mins from the beach and local fishing spots.

We really enjoyed our time. Very little need to travel to Galveston. We had all the entertainment we needed. Kayaking, fishing, crabbing, corn hole, and shuffleboard. We would definitely come back.

My family and I had an awesome time at this rental. The host was very communicative and offered extra bits of advice to help plan for the perfect weekend. The outside shower was perfect after a long day at the beach. The beach is very close and the kids loved the extra amenities such as the kayaks and crab traps. Definitely a trip to remember and we would stay here again!

‘Our Happy Place’ was an excellent experience from start to finish. The home is remodeled tastefully, very clean and had plenty of room for our group of six inside and out. We thoroughly enjoyed the backyard, especially in the evenings. My kids loved fishing and crabbing in the canal! The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet. The location was perfect and has very easy access to the beach! We look forward to a future stay!

This property is great for families with children of all ages! There is plenty of entertainment at the home to keep everyone engaged and active throughout your stay without having to worry about the kiddos being stuck inside all day. The location is perfect for traveling to the beach via car or golf cart ( 2 to 3 mins) without being too close and having to worry about any noise or late night beach goers. The check in and check out process is extremely easy and fair. Susie is amazing to work with and is very quick on getting back to you about any questions. Last minute we decided we wanted to extend our stay an additional night and Susie was quick to confirm is was available and made it happen! Thank you Susie for allowing us to share in your happy place, we had a great time and are definitely going to be coming back!

This was my first time using VRBO and let me say this Beach Home did not disappoint! We did have a little bit of a hiccup in trying to get in when we first arrived but the host Susie was awesome and got us fixed right up and let in! The home was extremely clean inside and out! The pictures were exactly what we got and then some. The neighborhood was clean and quiet. The neighbors were also friendly and we had a convo with a few in the back by the bay. The breeze that came through was outstanding and helped greatly to fight off the Texas heat! Jamaica beach was just a short 2 min drive (as is stated on the listing) directly across the street when you come out of the neighborhood! And drive on! It was perfect! Much better in my opinion than the busy street people have to cross to get to Galveston Beach! We didn't use the community pool so I can't speak on who that was like but we did ride past it and it looked very nice! I can't say enough good things about this Beach Home! Susie did a fantastic job to ensure we had the essentials we needed from the kitchen, to the bathroom to the laundry room! Speaking of essentials - one of my kids accidentally packed up her black tongs and when I messaged her about it she was kind and told me not to worry about it! All I know is that I and my family cannot wait to return to Jamaica Beach again and we hope this home is available again when we do! Thank you Susie!

My family had the best stay at “Our Happy Place”!! Everything was so clean and in great condition. We enjoyed all of the “extras” that were included in the stay…the kayaks, crab traps, and outdoor games really put our stay over the top and kept us entertained. Location was great and close to the beach, but what my kids really enjoyed was the downstairs room/game room! Cannot recommend this location and host enough, 5 stars, 10 out of 10 recommend!!

Family of all girls trip with a 3 yr pld. We had so much fun crabbing, canoeing (the most fun, we laughed so hard) swimming and just hanging out downstairs in the shade, around the swing and table! Property was beautiful and very clean. Susie, quickly responded to messages and was very helpful. We can't wait to come again soon!

Was a great home away from home for the weekend beach trip. Loved the attention to little details like labels on light switches and soap/detergent containers. Very clean and can certainly apprevoate the recent remodel/renovation which makes is seem brand new.

This was a perfect for our family (2 adults, 3 teenagers and 2 6 year olds). It was clean and well stocked. The property manager was extremely communicative. My kids really enjoyed catching blue crab in the canal. Well definitely be back!
