First thing I'd say is don't be deceived by the pictures. Your room won't look anything like them. This hotel is cheaper than surrounding for a reason. There were stains on the mattresses, floor was terribly uneven and damaged, previous drywall damage looked like it had been repaired by a 10 year old. Toilet and tub were old/ stained; there was no slip mat in the tub. The bath towels they provide are almost the size of hand towels and feel like sandpaper. The fitted bed sheets weren't elastic anymore; as soon as you sit on the bed the corners pulled off. The door had some added aluminum angle; im assuming to prevent break in. At first arrival there was another guest warning us that cars had been broken into and taillights stolen. It appeared there were permanent "residents" at the end near the dumpsters, which by the way looked like a junk yard. Given the condition of the hotel and rooms, this should cost around $29 a night. I would not stay here again.

First, pictures they post on their page or via hotels is a RIP OFF. It does not for any justice of how crappy their environment is… their walls, and even when you’re walking around the building, every single thing is falling apart! The worst part was that it took us 45 minutes to get in to our hotel room, the keycards wouldn’t even work and we had to go down to the lobby to get them to give us a new one. They didn’t believe us, they went up there after our third attempt, and realized we were right m. So they said let’s “upgrade yall” so we were moved to the first floor, still in a crappy hotel room. When we got inside of our hotel room, it smelled so bad! The ceiling was peeling, everything was chipped, the bathroom. Don’t even get me started but one thing! The toilet itself was like at a kids height! One we refused to shower there, etc.i literally got sick the following day as well so we decided to check out to avoid my husband getting sick to as well… Do not effing stay there!

Not so good staff took forever to come to the desk for check in and drugs were seen also an employee was drinking alcohol while working

First the name THE Residents Inn is a play on words for Residents in by Marriott. THE Residents Inn is nothing like the pictures. It’s dirty and nasty. There were dirty handprints on the light switch to the bathroom and dirt in the bath tub. The towels and sheets were dingy and stained. I went and bought new pillows and pillow cases and towels. You could also hear the springs in the bed every time you moved.

The property itself needs to be updated. The whole premise look unsafe. The rooms are lesser quality than Motel 6 and the towels were dirty. If you just want to sleep for the night this would be a good spot just to lay your head but honestly would be better off sleeping in the car. The lobby looks like you are checking into a roach motel and smells musty.

This hotel did not have “Residence Inn” posted anywhere we could see until we drove around with maps saying you have arrived. Only sign we saw was “Rodeway Inn”. Room did not have trash can, hair dryer, coffee anywhere, clock and had to get directions to operate TV!!!!! Only thing good was comfortable bed and air conditioner worked. Pillows were FLAT. Very questionable neighborhood and other patrons. Will NOT utilize this establishment again and warn anyone staying in Galveston to avoid it.

The room was alright, it was clean at least and the sheets were clean, I had to go get towels from front desk as there were none when we checked in, ended up having to use my own towels the last 2bdays because there was no room service and they wouldn't give towels out of the housekeeper was already done for the day( housekeeping never came by the room ) it needs a lot of help for the amount they charge!

I wish I could tell you that the residency inn also is the travel lodge. The room had cracked windows pet hair underneath the torn sheet. The shower was unusable there was mold everywhere. The room had been heavily smoked in. The window was cracked. There was a towel seeping up water from the air conditioner. The closet hanger was hanging off the wall. The ventahood in the bathroom was hanging by a screw with an exposed wire. The refrigerator had rust all over the top of it. There was paint all over the curtains and the wall shams. It was old makeup on the bathroom wall. There was sand on the bathroom vanity. Not one single trash can in the whole room. The room was very underwhelming. The permanent residence that were hanging out were not encouraging. The room was not ready until 4:00 when check-in was at 3:00. The location with seedy at best. The park at your own risk was encouraging. The pool was clean but closed. The pump house had a door hanging from the hinges. The parking lot was cluttered with old furniture. Underneath the sheet there was a full zip bed protector that have been rubbed against the floor several times and had black residue all over it. Drove around the property three times before we realized it was a Travelodge and not a residency inn. While trying to add photos to this post it will not allow it. But took several photos. We were not the only guest who were told rooms weren't ready. And we are not the only guest who walked into our rooms and were shocked.

No trash can in the room. Needs remodeled, walls bad, roof bad, pictures on the desk and not the wall. Would not recommend at all.

It was a dilapidated, the room smelled, the room looked like sh*t, toilet ran all night, water pressure was a trickle at best. Neighbors were loud and slammed doors all night, with yelling and screaming. Mirror was broken in the botrom right of the mirrow in the vanity area, exposing a large amount of.broken glass and very unsafe edges. Could have seriously wounded myself or my son if we were careless or not paying attention. Parking lot was full of gang banger looking individuals, along with questionable people who looked like they didn't belong.

The mattress needs to be replaced. It felt like a water bed. Holes in the sheets. Room dusty. Bathroom needs an update Door look like someone had been prying it open when guest leave🥺💔‼️

Not the worst, but definitely needs some work. Currently doing renovations, so understand things won’t be perfect. Found 2 screws in our bed. Bathroom was very dirty, and room smells like cigarette smoke and was non smoking. Other than that we did stay the full time. If your in a pinch, and just need somewhere to lay your head this place will work

DO NOT STAY HERE. Mold everywhere. Dirty bedsheets and pillows. Towels and rags had stains on them. Bathtub had paint chips and mold. Broken mirror. Worst hotel experience of my life. Would NOT recommend!!!

For the 140/night this was terrible. There was mold all over the shower. The tv was very dated. The AC only got the room down to 75..... There wasn't a light switch near the door. Ya had to turn your phone on to get to the lamp which had 2 switches. One of which is obviously broken. Very disappointing for the price. The hotel in Vegas I stayed at near the famous pawn shop was better than this for $65/night.

Reno incomplete,terrible state of repairs. Had no business charging for stay…Front office had broken glass in window and door. Felt very insecure

When I got to the room, I always like to check the room first and I open one of the drawers and had a use baby’s pamper really dirty. The curtains from the bathroom was dirty. It was just so disgusting. I will never go back to that hotel. and the sheets from the bed there was a stain. I don’t know if it was blood so I had to use my blanket to cover me. I really feel dirty staying there.

The property is not in good condition. i had to literally go and buy supplies to clean tub and shower curtain and bathroom facilities.

Registration office was closed so I could not check in. Will be calling about getting a refund. Listing said check in was available until midnight and I arrived before then.

The place in general looked so dirty, stairs had mold. The bathtub didn’t look good, it was definitely nothing like the pictures they show. If you can stay somewhere else please do, I don’t recommend this place at all!

Really bad experience its all i can say

Upon entering our room after checking in it was noticed that we had no trash can in either the living area or the bathroom. The electrical outlet by the sink did not work. The doorway and walking area into the room (outside) was cluttered with junk making it easy to trip and fall. The hasplock was only held on with two screws and was very loose and not at all safe. Later the next morning after we had went out for the day nobody in housekeeping had come by to clean the room nor refresh the towels. When I went to the front desk ask why I was told that I needed to TELL them I needed housekeeping. I’ve worked in a hotel before and that’s not how that works at all. When I asked for more towels I was told “As soon as we have some clean ones we will bring them up” at this time it was 3pm and we had been all day at the beach in need of a shower. Seems to me the laundry should have already been being taken care of.

We didn’t stay. We pulled into the parking lot and it looked like a crack house. We grudgingly went into the office which had broken and cracked glass in all the windows and got a key to check out the room, hoping it was better on inside than outside, and it wasn’t! It smelled of mold and was so dirty I don’t even believe it was cleaned. We immediately went to return the key and noticed every door looked like it had been jarred open by a crowbar at some point. I can’t even believe this would be on a site such as hotels.com, clearly they don’t inspect these properties before they list them.

Floors were wet, smelled damp, dirty shower curtain no one come to drop off clean towels, a c was loud never seen house keeper no front desk person when we dropped off keys no water in pool. Noise from people drinking outside was disturbing after 10:00 pm.
