The cottage was clean, charming and filled with thoughtful details. It definitely felt like a "home". We loved the back patio access and view of the meadow. We enjoyed being able to make dinner and breakfast in the kitchen. We were up early enough to watch the sunrise, do some bird watching and see two bull elk grazing.

Having not stayed there before, we had expected that the cabin would be located together with all the other Elk Meadow Cabins (we stayed at Ranch Site - Oreq B). It took us awhile to find this location as I had not realized that I had booked a cabin at a slightly separate location, down the highway about 3 miles. This one is directly off the highway (more so than the others) and also felt a little isolated. I would have preferred to stay at the other site and will pay closer attention should I book with Elk Meadow Cabins again (which I would definitely do!)
