Very comfortable cottage with lots of living area. Close to the centre but in a quiet street.

The location was excellent - a short stroll to both Elephant Park and Cook Park (and the Guildry within selling handmade things). It was lovely being in the old part of Orange with lots of character houses. We had a few warm days in early October and we enjoyed eating breakfast at the table on the covered patio overlooking the garden. The gardens and lawns were pretty and well-maintained. There was plenty of space inside for a family of four with the lounge/TV area, dining table and stylish kitchen and tasteful furnishings. The bedrooms were good sizes and comfortable. The two front bedrooms had substantial built-ins, so plenty of storage if you stayed for a long time. Using the electric blanket was a treat! Surprisingly, we didn’t need the heater as the house was warm enough. There were plenty of places to visit in Orange over a few days - e.g. Botanical Gardens, Mt Canobolas, art gallery, regional museum, markets, antiques, various dining experiences and scenic drives. Overall, the historic cottage was a wonderful place to stay!

The beds were a little bit too firm, but we slept well.

We couldn’t work wifi. And doesn’t have fans. We are so used to sleeping with fans for the noise and it also got a little hot. So I think fans or reverse cycle in rooms would be a good idea
