Our stay at Erik and Lia's place was truly wonderful. The moment we arrived, we were greeted with a thoughtful gift bag and other touches to celebrate our anniversary. Their hospitality and kindness made us feel so grateful and at ease. The furnishings and decorations were simply stunning, and the backyard was incredibly beautiful. It was hard for us to leave, and we felt quite sad saying goodbye. We fell in love with this place and would give it more than 5 stars if we could. We're eagerly looking forward to our next visit.

The photos don't lie, this place is pristine. Nice amenities were included. We typically bring things like aluminum foil, zip bags, etc , but the host thought of everything we might need. Very convenient. Easy to get to waterfront restaurant and bars, just 3 blocks away.

The house was beautifully decorated, inside and out, and was furnished with fine linens and everything you could imagine needing. We especially appreciated the special touches (ie. the welcome letter from the hosts, the special bag of snacks, a refrigerator stocked with beverages, chilled wine glasses and a bottle of wine! Even the toilet paper rolls were sealed with a wax stamp. It was a short 5 min walk to downtown, Saturday Farmers market and Sunday Brunch at The Table was amazing. Thank you for a perfect weekend. We can’t wait to come back!!

If you come across the Jewel Box listing - book it now! This was easily the best rental property I’ve experienced. The house was very clean, the hosts are beyond helpful, the bed is comfortable, the backyard is great for coffee in the morning or relaxing in the evenings, and the house is stocked with everything you could possibly need (washer/dryer, pots/pans, ironing board, etc.)
The hosts are fantastic. They left us a small welcome bag with snacks, and when I accidentally left something they offered to mail it to me!
We had a slight technical issue unlocking the door with the automatic keypad at check in. We messaged the hosts and they showed up within minutes, despite it being late, to resolve the issue. The customer service is fantastic.
If we’re back in Edenton, the Jewel Box is where I’d like to stay.

We spent a few days in Edenton to explore this quaint town. Although the weather didn’t cooperate, we could return each day to this lovely home and relax. The home is spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated with thoughtful touches throughout to make your stay more pleasant. It was comfortable for a couple but would be a bit small for another couple to join us. Check-in was simple. The hosts are accessible and helpful. A wonderful experience that we highly recommend.

Jewel Box is a beautiful house. You can tell the owners have put a lot of time and effort into the design and furnishings. From the kitchen to the bedrooms and bathrooms, it was fully equipped with all the necessities and plenty of extras, too. The location is perfect to explore Edenton - an easy walk to restaurants, historic homes and the waterfront. We would absolutely stay there again!

The Jewel Box is nicely located on a residential street, close enough to downtown for walking. The house itself is newly renovated and quite attractive inside and out. I was impressed with its cleanliness and comfort. It is a well-appointed property that had everything we needed; I was particularly pleased with the kitchen and its equipment. I appreciated the well-lighted rooms, the comfortable bed and the generous quantity of soft towels in the bathrooms. We stayed for a week and I’d love to do it again.

This house looks even better in person. Everything was clean and in place. The furnishings were beautiful and comfortable. Within walking distance to downtown Edenton. The homeowners were so very kind. We hope to stay here again.

Well appointed property. We enjoyed having 2 full baths. Kitchen was more than adequate.
Only complaint is the TV. Very slow response when using the remote. Only used Watch for Free. We did not have our streaming passwords so couldn’t use streaming.

Our stay was exactly what we were hoping it would be! Close to downtown and it was very enjoyable! The house was also very clean and tidy.

Jewel box indeed. A charming, beautifully renovated cottage and garden. All the amenities needed. Close to downtown.
We brought our bikes and found it to be a wonderful base to explore all Edenton has to offer

The Jewel Box was perfect for a long weekend away for my girlfriend and me. The house was very clean, warm and welcoming. It was also a quick and easy walk to the downtown area and waterfront. We’ll be back next year.
