Myself and 2 older sons, 21 and 19, stayed here for 5 nights. This place had everything we wanted! It's close enough to Mammoth Cave and was far enough for some relaxing down time. The cabin was well appointed with everything we could want from laundry pods, to games and puzzles, to a well stocked kitchen for cooking. The kids loved the sleeping arrangements, one slept in the loft as he loved the caves and this made him feel like being in a cave. The other kid took the second bedroom. The lake was perfect for fishing and swimming. The fish are mostly bass, catch and release. We went to Mammoth Cave on 3 days for tours. We did the Historical, Wild Cave, and Violet City Lantern Tours. The wild cave is very demanding so be sure it's for you. The crawling was hard but about 1/2 tour was walking to place no other tour would take you! Note the county is dry so bring your drinks with you. And there are some smaller grocery stores around. If you want a big grocery store you'll have to drive 45 minutes or so. Just make a note of this on pick up supplies on route. We enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely return for a future stay!

We had a WONDERFUL stay. The cabin was immaculate and the entire property was so nice. We stayed with our 4 kids, ages 3-10. Two of our kids slept in the little loft and 2 slept in the second bedroom (there is also a pull out couch). I highly recommend if you are visiting Mammoth Cave. The property was about 35/40 minutes away from the Visitor Center but most of the drive is through the park, so it is pretty. You can either take the Green River Ferry (kids loved it!) or drive around. It's about the same amount of time, Since the kids liked the ferry, we did that. One time we waited about 10 minutes but all the other times, we had no wait. The cabin was perfect. The cave and waterfall on the property are beautiful! We stayed in Cabin #5. Cabins #4-6 and Cabin #11 all get a sunset view over the hill/lake. (Cabin #11 is up a hill a little bit but still has it's own dock, where as #4-6 are more on the lake). There was so much to do in the area, we didn't even really get to explore on the property (besides the cave and waterfall). There is a playground and kayaks to rent. Grocery stores are sort of a hike (20 min or so) so it just requires a little planning ahead. Highly recommend to everyone!

We enjoyed the location of the cabin, the quiet surroundings, and cave exploration nearby! We would stay here again. Planning food ahead is helpful due to the rural area it is located. Overall, a wonderful stay!

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was clean, adequately stocked and easy to get to. The private dock and porch overlooking the lake were amazing!

The cabin was the perfect size for our family of 5, clean, and easy to find. We enjoyed the waterfall and trails as well. Communication was great! We also appreciated having service and wifi on property.

The cabin is exactly as listed. Very clean and updated - appears to be relatively new. All necessary supplies were there. About 30 minutes from Mammoth Cave. There are about 12 cabins spread out on the farm with lake and countryside views. We stayed for two nights…wish we could have stayed longer.

The cabin was spectacular. Check-in and instructions were easy. The view was lovely, the lake and trails easy to enjoy. Highly recommend, would stay here again!

Cabin was very clean, up to date and on a lovely lake. Property provided all kinds of floats, life jackets, kayaks, fishing poles for free. I loved this place. Property manager available to help all the time. We had a great time!!

Wow I really can't summarize. The host, the setting, the accommodations, the fun things to do, all were so excellent. It was beautiful and the lake setting with kayaks and small boats afforded us swimming, fishing, and boating when we were not doing other planned activities like Mammoth Cave. The cabin was lovely and had everything we needed for 4 adult women. Also felt very safe. Thank you for a wonderful trip.

The views are breathtaking, the cabins are so cozy, the owners/hosts are more than accommodating and we lost count of the fish we caught. We did not want to leave. Great relaxing weekend full of adventure and memories. Will be booking again real soon.

I am so glad we booked this cabin. It was perfect for our long weekend exploring the area. Even though the cabin is 30 minutes from the actual park it was a beautiful and easy drive. Included in that time is taking a car ferry which the kids LOVED! The grounds were absolutely perfect. We used the dock morning, noon, and night. My husband didn't have any luck with the catfish but our kids caught bluegill and bass non-stop. They had an absolute ball. We didn't know what to expect when hiking to the waterfall but it was amazing! This waterfall is park quality. An absolute must see. The cabins were clean and everything we needed. The kids loved playing in the loft but preferred sleeping in the bedroom. The beds were very comfortable. We didn't want to leave, so we didn't. We booked a third night and were so glad we did. I could sit outside on the back porch everyday and never get tired of the view. We would love to come back.

This was a terrific stay for us. The cabin was pristine and thoughtfully well appointed. The communication was fantastic, and we found this property exceeded our expectations! Someone even left us a bunch of kindling and some wood for a fire. Knowing there was a Keurig helped us so we could bring our favorite coffee pods. It was too cold to enjoy the water, but still lovely to look at and the long back porch was well suited for sitting and enjoying the quiet. We appreciated that it was "off the beaten track", and away from so much of the more touristy areas of the Mammoth Cave area. The property owners and the reviews informed us helpfully that grocery stores aren't handy so the advice to bring plenty of supplies for food prep was spot on. Our boys brought their bikes, and loved riding around, hiking, and exploring the waterfall and cave -the kids loved it, and it truly added a lot to our stay. We would absolutely stay there again, and will recommend to our friends.

This cabin was just perfect. We are already planning our next trip to Mammoth Cave. We can’t wait to stay in this cabin again. Especially with warmer weather.

The cabins were clean and attractive (Note: they are not as big as pictured). Definitely not worth the price charged. Issues: limited seating options in cabin, cheap toilet paper, cheap towels, lake stocked with only catfish? and cheap air conditioning that didn't really work. Agent was communicative unless you asked any questions. then there were no answers.

We enjoyed our stay in this little cabin on the "lake". The cabin was clean, comfortable and quiet. The only suggestions I would make that might add to the enjoyment are: 1) Outdoor shade or sun barrier for the porch so you could sit outside in the later afternoon and evening without getting fried by the sun. 2) A small kitchen table (even if only for two), either indoor (foldout) or outside for the deck. 3) Some trees planted on the sides of the cabins would provide some privacy from neighboring cabins. And a few in the back would be nice too. Other than that, it was very pleasant. We would recommend this area for families looking for a place to have a family reunion.

I have stayed here 3 times now. This place is amazing I have recommended these cabins to all my friends. If you are wanting a fun full family weekend escape then go reserve now! The owners are extremely help full and will bend over backwards to accommodate your needs. The 25 acre lake is fun for kayaking, paddle boarding and plenty of fishing. We will keep coming here for years!

My family of 4 had a great trip to this cabin. We went swimming all week, kayaking on the lake, walked to the on site waterfall. While this location is remote it’s close enough to several nearby cites with thing to do. We visited caves, dinosaurs world, KY down under park and even went into Bowling Green for the Lost Cave underground boat tour. Definitely glad we brought all our groceries for the week so we didn’t stress about needing anything since it’s a little drive otherwise. Property manger was helpful with directions and answering questions. She even delivered bags of ice to our cabin that we purchased to use during our stay. Wish we would have brought our fishing poles because there were plenty of fish in that lake. Cabin had everything we needed, I always over pack on VBRO’s not knowing just in case we need something. By end of our stay I had used all the provided laundry pods, dishwasher tabs and trash bags and used a few of my own but that’s it. Kids favorite things were kayaking and walking to the waterfall. Adults favorite drinking coffee outside on the porch overlooking the lake.

Well equipped kitchen and quality grill if you want to prepare your own food. Very quiet natural setting. Each cabin is a respectful distance from the next one. Nice trail about a mile each way to a waterfall if it’s been raining. Still a nice walk. Air conditioners in the main area and one bedroom helped us sleep comfortably.
