The location

I paid £125 for a room with no breakfast included . They then charged £12.50 pp for breakfast in a coffee shop over the road. The window in the bathroom wouldn’t close. I had to shut the door as there was a draft but the door rattled all night . The cold water tap wouldn’t turn off and dripped all night . The toilet roll dispenser didn’t work either . I had very little sleep.

The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. They were friendly and knowledgeable about the area, giving us advice on where to go and what we could do! We couldn't be happier and will definitely be back!

We had a lovely stay, the staff were so friendly they couldn't do enough for us.was given a card for breakfast which was across the road from Station Lounge and it didn't disappoint. The location is excellent, we'll definitely stay again.

Boiler issue on first night meant it was very cold - but this was obviously a one off. Toiletries poor quality

The bathroom window didn’t close not good in November. Random that breakfast is across the road at another venue Didn’t receive the voucher for breakfast but Maxwells sorted that out.

The location was very convenient. The bathroom and bedroom were very clean and the bed was very comfortable.

The entrance and exit for resident guests is via a fire exit and down some metal stairs at the back of the building. I thought this arrangement was unsafe especially in winter and in the dark if the steps were wet and slippery and guests were carrying heavy luggage. This means of exit was not explained to me when I arrived and in fact I was not shown this way out until the second evening of my stay. On the first morning of my stay in the hotel I was locked into the landing outside my bedroom as the fire door to the downstairs was locked. On the second morning that fire door was open but when I got downstairs I found I was the only person in the building and the front and back doors were locked. Eventually I managed to get out by going through the kitchen and out of the kitchen door. On both occasions I phoned the hotel owner and said I was concerned about the potential danger in case of a fire.
