House was clean and very nice for our stay. Plenty of room! Loved having the pool! It’s a bit noisy as it is close to some traffic thoroughfare but not terrible. Bring some sharper knives for cooking and bring K Pods if you want to use the Keurig rather than coffee grounds. Great stay for us!

Really liked the house and location although I do feel it was overpriced. They need to address a few issues. There was a mold, musty type odor that needs to be addressed. There weren't any wine glasses in the kitchen. There are a lot of light bulbs out downstairs that need replacing. Property Manager's were great, the house just needs some work if they are going to charge so much to rent.

Pictures did not do this house justice. It’s beautiful and very clean! My kids loved the bunk room, and it worked out perfectly not having to fight who gets the king beds with the en suite. My mother and kids loved the heated pool, and the room downstairs came in handy for using the bathroom and not having to climb the stairs while we were swimming. We rented a golf cart and I felt like the location of this property was very central. I’ve already had so many friends and family ask where we stayed, because my pictures on social media looked so beautiful! Thank you! Will definitely be returning!

Kitchen - Palstic plates and cups/glasses would be more referable than glassware. We did not use. Need more silverware not enough settings for 10 let alone 12. Master bedroom TV was not totally responsive took numerious attempts to turn on and load channels.

This house is amazing, we had a great time. Super close to the beach, and minutes from shops and restaurants. Will definitely stay again!

Everything we needed from a large stock pot for shrimp boil to heated pool for Marco Polo. Enough seating for our entire party to be comfortable and relax.

Our family had a fun stay at Rum Runner! It is a nice home close to town and the beach!

This is a lovely property. Very spacious and good for gatherings. Thanks for allowing our 2 small dogs to stay. The kitchen is well stocked and there are plenty of blankets/ quilts. We enjoyed the outdoor deck. I did get into the pool. It was relatively warm for this time of the year. We would stay here again!

We had a great time! Loved the house and how easy checking was. We will definitely be returning in warmer weather.

Pleasant stay

We enjoyed five nights in this spacious beautiful home. Had everything we needed and then some. Cooked a great steak dinner on the grill and the recommendations they left for restaurants was very helpful. Ample enough room for the six of us to relax. By far, the pool was my favorite part of our vacation! We came from snowy Wisconsin and the heated pool was exactly what we needed. Spent a lot of time relaxing in the sun and it was so nice and warm at night too. Coffee on the porch in the morning was relaxing. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. Would recommend!

This is our 6th rental in Port A in the last 3 years, and this was our favorite property, by far. It is situated close to the beach, and was more-than-adequately-equipped for multiple guests of varying interests. (The heated pool was a nice amenity this go-around, as it was too windy to stay very long on the beach, itself.)

This property was really great! Accommodations were accurate from the description and the hosts were so kind and helpful. The weather was abnormally cold, but we found plenty of nearby activities to keep us busy. Would definitely stay here again! Thanks Jim and Chuma!

Awesome everything. Pictures do justice to the listing. Less than 5 minute cart ride to the beach and to morning coffee shop. Less than 10 minute cart ride to restaurant, grocery and ice cream. I visited with my wife and my son's very young family with 4 kids and we were all very pleased.

We stayed in the rum runner in early October. Weather was still in the 80s and the busy summer traffic slowed a bit. Port A was a great family friendly beach town with tons to do. We rented a golf cart from a business near bye and had 0.5 mile drive to the beach and a 5 minute drive to the rest of the town (which the kids loved riding in the cart). The property was clean and neat. The a/c and fans in the room allowed us to keep the place cool. The pool outside was still warm enough in october for my kids to enjoy. The beach was not too crowded and water was quite warm. My family of 6 and and 3 other kidless familes joined us and had plenty of room. I would 100 out of 100 rent this place again if/when we come back.

Great property! Leanna, in the office was very nice and helpful. We enjoyed the private pool and large living room/dining area to visit with family. House was clean and was a very short golf cart/car ride to the beach.

This beach house is perfectly located in Port A, just blocks from town and the beach. We really enjoyed local fishing and dining. The house itself is perfectly setup for our family, with bedrooms for adults and on for the kids to share . The additional bed and bath downstairs was a bonus.! We enjoyed family meals in the large dining areas, as wells on quite breakfasts on the porch. The swimming pool provided the perfect place to relax in the evenings. Easy booking and communications with management too! We highly recommend this beach house for your next vacation!

We have rented a few houses through VRBO and the Rum Runner was the best one. Everything was as described, it was stocked very nicely, and it is close to the beach. We had a great time!

We truly enjoyed our stay at Rum Runners! Some of our favorite parts... 1. Incredibly clean and well stocked. We did a lot of cooking, and there were plenty of cooking utensils and dishware. Not to mention, there were tons of bath towels and more toilet paper and hand soap than most VRBOs. 2. In close proximity to everything without the noise/ traffic. The beach was a 1/2 mile walk, and downtown Port A is just down the street. Yet, we were off the main drag enough to avoid lots of traffic and road noise. 3. Separate downstairs suite. When I booked the property, I didn't realize the downstairs suite was disconnected from the rest of the rooms. But it was the perfect setup for my adult, bachelor brother who needed some time away from the kids at points in the family vaca. 4. Super responsive host. Great management company who was quick to respond and very informative with communication ahead of and during check in. 5. Great, large living/ dining room and kitchen. Our extended family could all be together chatting and laughing in the large space. Not to mention, the upstairs balcony was kid-friendly, comfortable and a great place to relax with snacks and drinks. If you're looking for a great place in Port A, look no further! The pool was a little chilly in early March, but our Michigan kiddos enjoyed the ocean without batting an eye.
