Location!

Horrible stay, beautiful looks aren’t everything. The worst of all which impacted us the greatest was the extremely loud AC in the room. Plus, the AC unit was within mere inches from the left side of the bed and blew directly onto you all night. No regular pillows were provided, only down. The elevator was directly across from the room and the elevator announced through a speaker what floor, and other instructions. The walls were also very thin and you could hear the TV playing next door. From the main entrance you walk right into the lobby which is also the restaurant, wide open with no separation. It was very loud from the acoustics and not private. I cannot state enough how very loud the AC was - it was like I was traveling under the body of an 18-wheeler all night. Never have I experienced this before. As a result, neither of us managed to sleep. Upon check out the attendant asked us how our stay was and offered to comp our breakfast but we had already eaten somewhere else off the property so all we got was a sorry to hear that. The prices are astronomical and with a brand new hotel you would expect much better.

We enjoyed the staff and facilities but this place lacked the personal touch we've experienced at other upscale hotels. The facility charge, even though it was only 22.00 is ridiculous and at 300.00 a night one would think there would be a pen and note pad in the room, instead they suggested we purchase one? Otherwise the staff was courteous. Grayson in the dinning area was particularly nice and provided great service.

This hotel is brand new in a perfect location in downtown Blowing Rock. You can leave your car and visit the many shops and restaurants within walking distance. The room was very comfortable with some nice amenities. I like to read the negative reviews to see just how trivial some can be and I came across a doosey. One said they were awakened by the flashing smoke alarm light. That was funny. No negatives in this review, our stay was wonderful and the staff was top notch. We'll be back in the fall.

This new hotel in downtown Blowing Rock is beautiful, modern and rooms are spacious. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I loved sitting on the balcony in the cool mountain air and just relaxing. It is my new go to place to stay in Blowing Rock.

Perfect location. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. Nice to have a balcony. Restaurant in the hotel that seemed busy but we did not try it this trip.

Wonderful new hotel in a perfect spot in Blowing Rock. Park your car and you can walk to all the shopping and dining you can handle. Clean spacious rooms with nice balconies.

Overall excellent experience! Staff, accommodations, location were all great. Definitely recommend and I’ll be back.

I loved everything about it!

The hotel is new and designed very well. The rooms are comfortable and the little decks are a super nice perk. The dining is wonderful with lots of comfortable areas to sit and relax with a cocktail. The location is great allowing you to walk everywhere. We will come back.

Beautiful property. Great location. Enjoyed our stay. Will stay again. Just a few suggestions. 1. The office and registration desk lacks adequate signage to indicate their location. 2. Ramp at entrance to lobby is needed to do away with step up. 3. Notify guests at checkin that room key is needed to operate elevator from first floor. I know there is a small sign in the elevator but it could be and is easily and often overlooked. .

The Embers is perfeclty located in downtown Blowing Rock offering easy access to the main street restaurants and shops. The property was clean and fresh and has great views of the surrounding area. It also has a great bar and restaurant onsite. We could not have been more pleased with the accomodations and overall experience.

After booking I called to confirm at the hotel. The room I booked was confirmed as it was a room that had a pull out sofa to sleep 3 adults. Upon checking in and arriving in the room there was only a king bed and no sofa. I called the front desk and the clerk said he needed to come up to look at the room and insulted me that I didn’t know what a sofa was… then he said he could not accommodate us and offered nothing. He did Mt know how to do a refund and directed me to take care of it with Expedia. We were stranded with no where to stay. It was the worst experience and I would drop them from your website! . This hotel had been recommended and I cannot say enough about how this place had ZERO hospitality or accommodations for their mistake. This ruined our weekend! Never ever again and I’ll let everyone I know how terrible this hotels service is… No concept of hospitality should not be in the business! Period!

For a hotel the restaurant/bar was excellent. I appreciated the keycard requirement to use elevator but that fact was never revealed at check-in. I had to rely on another guest for help. Also, a bag of trash from the cleaning crew was left in our room from the previous guest. It was a very nice room with a great bed and shower.

Great location!

I really wanted to like this hotel. We come often to Blowing Rock and were very excited to find a NEW addition to the options in town. It does look really nice, brand new, and in the perfect location.  So, it was a huge (!) letdown to walk into the room and hear the loudest AC I had ever had in a hotel room. I asked the front desk to check it since I was sure we had gotten into a room with a faulty AC. The guy showed up to the room and said ALL our AC sounds like this: “It’s a feature.” it's a constant running fan to mask the outside noise. He was right since the porch window and door are truly acoustically transparent, and you can hear everything(!) from the outside …  He did offer us to call the front desk 24/7 whenever we want to stop/start the fan since they can switch it on/off from the power breaker … This is how we learned that you CAN’T turn it off from within the room controller no matter what. To be honest, there isn’t much temperature control anyway since no matter what temperature you set, you get random results. It was either blazing cold or warm with nothing in between … I guess if you are thinking of booking this Hotel room, make sure you bring earplugs ... 

Staff was very friendly and professional. The room was clean and beautiful. I only wish we could have stayed longer.

Beds were comfy, pillows were good and the hotel was close to our destination. Staff was very pleasant & accommodating. So much so we booked an extra night’s stay.

Nice hotel and facilities Great location

TV turned itself on at 1:09am. Told the front desk and all they said was that it had happened before. Also, flashing light from smoke alarm kept waking me up. My wife even told me that it was going off and on every 7 seconds.

The 2 young men at the front desk were amazing and very helpful. All the other staff we encountered were also very friendly. We will definitely return.

Very new hotel and the staff was great & made you feel very welcomed.
