Nicest rooms I’ve found in the area. Beautiful plants and insects/animals.

Everything was perfect

An absolutely beautiful place in a great little town. The grounds were impeccably groomed with an amazing diversity of plants. Not on the beach but an easy location with privacy. Lovely.

Awesome little jewel located along the coast road at the end of Lo de Marcos. Genuine hospitality, completely safe, with botanical garden-like grounds, pristine pool and a spacious unit on 2nd floor with ample air conditioning and kitchen made our our stay wonderful. The town of Lo de Marcos is best suited for those who actually prefer a lower key more out of the way locale vs. a spotless resort property. We used Casa Del Sol as a base camp for taking trips to other towns where we rented boats to Isla De Coral, Punta Mita surf breaks and Isla Mariettas, however the best beach during our entire vacation was a 5 min drive away at Playa Venados (and just beyond) which rivals Kauai. Excellent food every single day too! All-in-all a really nice place!

Providing some bottled water on arrival would be nice.

Casa del Sol is a little paradise in Lode Marcos. It is on the edge of town, but close enough to walk into town, and it's at the south end of the beach, where most of the beach facilities are located. We rented the two-room suite on the top floor and it was spacious and well-appointed and kept very clean through out our stay. The bedroom was large and bed was comfortable. The other room had the kitchen and dining area with an additional bed, and the kitchen had everything we needed, including clean and safe water that the hosts provided The grounds are beautiful and the many birds in the surrounding trees were amazing. The system of mosquito control, using dragon flies was very effective and we did not get any bites while there, though we got them elsewhere. The hosts and small staff were great and very sweet people. The beach in Lo de Marcos is a beautiful, long sandy beach and the north end past the town is totally undevloped and wild.

The only problem was the internet connection, but a new router was actually installed the day before we left, so I imagine the wireless connection is better now.

The landscape is absolutely impeccable. The owner really cares about his property and the pool is amazingly refreshing.
