the hotel is lovely the rooms could do with a refit but its ok nice fluffy white towels plenty of hot water the room was warm with black out curtains
the food is delicious the breakfast is great plenty of choice nothing is to much trouble for the staff
staff are also very friendly (special shout out to the lady who welcomes and serves in the breakfast room she is lovely very jolly and welcoming

Lovely hotel very easy to find. Stunning views from there too. Staff very helpful . Food in restaurant good value and quality.Car park a bit tricky to negotiate too and very busy.

Quite disappointed on arrival at 9.30pm a they say no food available to order and only a bag of cashews at the bar. The room was two floors up And the floorboards were very noisy. Also the bathroom/toilet door had no lock and keeper opening whilst in use. Great staff though, incredibly friendly And lovely breakfast

From the moment that we arrived we were made to feel welcome. Every single member of staff that we encountered were cheerful and helpful. Frankly it was a wonderful experience all round.

The staff at the Royal were extremely friendly, helpful and attentive. The hotel itself is in a wonderful position overlooking the Wye Valley. Rooms are very comfortable and spacious. We had a room in the newer building with fabulous views. There is no lift at the hotel. The rooms with easiest access have several steps. The shower is over the bath.. Not wholly suited to thise with mobility issues.
