Not only did a book and specified on the app, but also in person five hours before the room is ready that I was handicapped disabled took about five hours to get the room ready, stuck on the second floor, Then they stuck me the disabled person on the second floor with no elevator. It took six trips three of them up and then we left three of them down with our stuff and our service dog , I bought an hour or two total in between the two. And by 7:30 to 8:30 PM, she a six-year-old little girl asked her father to take her home instead of staying on this beautiful vacation and the amount of pain I had to endure and suffer. I need a manager. I’ve already asked the app and whatever service they have to reach out to me ASAP. Leave a voicemail since I am disabled. I have a very difficult time sleeping at night let alone doing my job which is 8 to 10 hours a day for a global medical device. This will not let me upload it 5 to 6 different photographs I took. I will attempt to do it once more. I had to take Monday off work from and literally work from three in the morning until 730 or eight in the morning the following day where I’m sorry the same day on Monday to be able to take the rest of the day off and not embarrass me

We stayed there for the wonderful beach front & location right across the street from the main downtown. We ate our meals & shopped downtown. The rest of the time we sat at the beach and enjoyed the evening music at the bar at the beach. The hotel is old but our room was clean & bed was comfortable. Bonus they provide great beach towels.

Love the private beach, beach side bar, walkable downtown area, and it’s very quiet. Great place to stay. Looking forward to going back.

Wonderful place on beautiful Tawas Bay! The staff were helpful and kind. Loved the "Bikini Bar" with live music, dancing and food. Kiki our waitress for one of the nights was the best! During our entire stay, all we had to do was ask! Definitely coming back for another visit. So much more to do.. so little time to do it all!

The staff is great, there is a pool, and a restaurant & bar inside the hotel too. Not to mention you’re on the beach and you have a view of the lake.

I did not like the stairs and having to take my things up the stairs to 2nd floor because of no elavator. For older people this is a lot of work. I think the price of the Hotel was to high for this reason.

Room was acceptably clean, but windows were covered with finger prints and the curtains and sills were dirty. Housekeeping only comes in every 3 days, so our bed was never made. The restaurant was freezing and we had to wait 45 minutes for our food which was mediocre. We will not return.

Initially, we were super excited to enjoy the amenities of this hotel but truthfully, this should be a motel. Upon checking in going to our room, I noticed it smelled a little weird in the hallway and they had Dehumidifiers in the hallways /no AC. Upon opening our door, the stench was so bad of urine and mold and mildew. It burned my nose. Walked back up to the front of the lobby explained the situation with the room. I’ve never smelled anything so bad in my life. It was an insane hassle to switch the room because we booked through a third-party they kept telling me they couldn’t do anything about it , I offered to buy a new room another day nothing etc. They insisted they were not able to do anything until I said I wasn’t Going to leave until they did. They switched us to another room, which to be honest, at least didn’t smell like urine, but it smelled like old mold, and it was musty and damp . The room was dirty and toiletries were used . Everything was pretty rundown, old, There are no elevators to get to the second floor, the hotel doors do not lock. They had a small coffee maker in the bathroom! The room was decent size and had ample places to put a coffee maker. Beach is filled with goose poop. The people that on this are trying to run a slum motel and charge hotel prices. The people that owned This place cared about it. It could be a nice space, but I would never stay here again.

We have stayed at this hotel 2 years in a row for a weekend couple’s getaway. The hotel itself is old, the carpet is worn and a bit dirty, and the rooms are dated. However, the bed was clean and comfortable, the bathroom was clean and well-stocked, and both bedroom and bathroom are spacious so you can spread out if needed. There is housekeeping only if you stay for 3 nights, but the staff are quick to bring you more towels or supplies as needed, so that didn’t bother us at all. (We are grown-ups, we can make our own bed and live to tell about it.) I see a lot of complaints about staff. We had no problem both years. They were friendly to us, and I think the main reason is that we were respectful of them. I think the key here is that you need to be a good customer in order to get good customer service. Try it…it works. So the main reason to stay here is easy access to the beach, which is great. However, if you are a light sleeper, book “standard” room that faces the road. 1st trip we had a bay view. The view of the bay is just ok, but the noise on the bay side is high. Second trip we chose the city view on the second floor. Very little noise compared to the 1st year. Walking distance to many restaurants, beach with live music, and access to the bar are pluses. So we come here just to have a place to sleep and clean up after beach days. For that, it is worth it. Be nice to the staff, bring flip flops, decide if you want to party or sleep at night. Easy peasy.
