They canceled my reservation and charged my card 49.99 for a cancellation fee and I did not cancel my room at all. I had to wait until they found me another room that was accessible. Closet doors were tore down in room. No mirror above sink in bathroom, I can see it used to be one there. I had to go find room service for towels and service cause no one came by.

We are handicapped and requested 1 floor, instead we had second floor with no parking. We had ri walk past the pool and ti the back stairs. I told the front desk and they said if we don’t like it to leave and they’ll see about refunding our money. They blame hotels for not notifying them. The tub doesn’t drain, the water pressure was terrible.

The breakfast could have been better and they need more lights around the property especially in the back because many lights were blown out.

It had a large cut in the wall that I could put my hand in, it looked like blood splattered on the curtains (not sure exactly), the bathtub was disgusting and the stopper for the tub wouldn’t stay up so the water wouldn’t drain. My daughter started a shower with her socks on because of the condition of the tub. The smell was musty and the people next door were smoking outside the door. I was booked for two nights but only stayed for one.

The lake views are nice. The bed and pillows were comfortable enough. The room had a musty odor, the bathtub had rust stains, the shower curtain had some mold on it, the tub was semi clogged, the water only partially came out of the shower and the bathroom door needed to be replaced.

The first night was very quiet but the second one was very noisy. Somebody keep setting the car alarm off. People were running up and down the walkway in front of our room

The check in was nice the front desk was friendly and attentive. The room I received was really damp. I went to the front desk, and he had no problem giving me a new room, which was also damp. He said it was because they redid the grout on the tub. There was a lizard in my room. The hotel had a lot of guests of questionable repute coming and going at late hours. The cable was basic, and the TV was fuzzy. I did not see any alligators at the adjacent lake which was disappointing. The continental breakfast was great! You can make your own waffles. Overall, I would say my stay at Quality Inn & Suites Mt Dora North was on par with what I paid for the room. So good value for the money and the breakfast exceeded expectations.

Checking in was smooth and easy, the attendant was pleasant. On my second day however, and on a Saturday, they were having maintenance done on all the air conditioning units. This was not informed to me during check in process and there was the do not disturb sign on our door. I am a single mother with two young children traveling alone. I had parked the car with my children and watched as maintenance, along with someone who owns the motel (not a hotel like advertised), knocked on the door. After two seconds they started going inside our room. I rolled down my window and said “hey that’s our room and the sign is on the door.” Then the owner started going in on me. Excuse me but what if I had been in the shower and you barged into my room with my kids? That’s a big red flag in my book and made me feel unsafe to stay an extra night. They hardly waited for a response and like I said, I could have been in the shower. This is not something to take lightly. When I voiced that I did not appreciate what they did, he laughed at me and asked if I wanted them to finish the work. I said “no I would like some private time with my family since that’s what I’m here for and had the sign on the door for that reason.” Additionally, the carpet was not cleaned and left stains on my children’s feet. There were also stains on the bedding.
