I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Deville, located in the heart of Curitiba. The hotel stands out for its proximity to various points of interest, especially Praça Osório, where the famous winter fair takes place.

Very friendly, helpful staff. Great check-in and checkout experience. Excellent breakfast buffet. Quiet room, with all essential amenities (tv, mini-fridge, wifi, a/c). Generally simple, attractive decor and very clean, except a few areas of bathroom needing a little more tlc, and towels a bit worn.

My reservation was pre-paid through Expedia. My credit card was almost immediately charged.
When I checked out on 12/20/2018 the desk employee wanted my credit card to charge me the room cost AGAIN. Fortunately I was able to show him that my credit card was charged the exact amount found on my printed reservation. This "screw-up" and the lengthy argument I had with the employee almost caused me to miss my flight to Foz do Iguacu. This state of affairs is totally unacceptable. I don't know the reason for which I was asked to pay twice (and I do not care) but this major blunder is a stain on this otherwise good hotel. I am returning on another pre-paid reservation tomorrow and I certainly do not expect nor will tolerate a similar situation

Nice location but I am afraid I was there for biz. No enough time to stroll around while the hotel was close to everywhere

My stay at the hotel in Curitiba Deville Center was very disappointing. I had booked a room with two twins beds, but when I got there I found was a room with only one double bed and a sofa that could be turned into bed, but extremely uncomfortable. After much negotiation the maneger offered me a small discount, which I accepted because it has no other option. The bathroom had the toilet badly positioned interfering with the door opening. The water tank placed behind the toilet prevented the complete opening of the lid causing the User to stay with her back bent when sitting on the toilet. The air conditioning in the room was old and extremely loud. For me it was a very bad experience my stay at this hotel. I know that the Deville network has several hotels throughout Brazil and certainly I can not judge everyone based solely on one experience, but the Deville Center in Curitiba I do not recommend to anyone. No point to highlight. For the same price there are certainly better options in Curitiba.
