It is a great location—just a short walk to the lake. It was winter, so we did not visit the rental space. A short walk to Five Guys, Panda Express, and McDonalds. The kitchenette had a coffee maker, pots and pans, plates, and forks. Unfortunately, the nice size safe did not work and we did not mess with getting it fixed. It should have been checked before we arrived for our stay. Check-in is late at 4:00 pm vs normal at 3:00 pm. Likewise, check-out was at 10:00 am vs normal 11:00 am. Another negative was the ONLY valet parking at 27 dollars a day.
I checked in on my birthday and only got a water bottle. When they asked for my date of birth, I said Today, Nov 15, 1963. They did a great job giving me the water bottle and free water. Thanks, Hilton.

Beware, since Hilton took over this property you can't self park. It's $25 a day to valet and the valet is and outsourced company that specifically says they are not liable for lost items or damage to your vehicle. Vallet's were very rude. Concierges are very very very aggresive at trying to get you to attend time share presentations.... BE WARE. We were there on our honeymoon told them to please leave us alone and NO constant hounding every time we were coming and going. Last thing is mattresses are like sleeping on a sheet of plywood. If you don't like a very hard stiff matress look elsewhere it was terrible.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here...from the spotless property and room to the ease of walking to shops and restaurants nearby. Our 1 bedroom suite had everything you would need to cook and eat in, a spacious living room with huge tv and fireplace, dining table and full kitchen. The spacious bathroom has dual sinks, walk-in shiwer and large tub. The king bed was very comfy with soft linens and awesome pillows. It was cold weather so we didn't use the property amenities. I would recommend to anyone wanting a nice place to stay.

The vallet parking not convenient. You don't have control on your vehicle. You always have ask for the valley parking.
Staff in the valley parking cannot handle everybody that is why there is long line.

I’ve stayed at this location a few times. Not happy with the change made to not offer self serve parking and charge for mandatory valet service of $27. Also swimming pool was not available.

You will be directed to the concierge counter where they try to sell you on a timeshare, offering dining discounts on restaurants and activities if you schedule a 2 hour sales pitch. Didn’t push too hard, but took about 15 minutes of our time when we just wanted to check into our room, You won’t be able to get into your room early either. They want you to check in when concierge is open at 3:00.

we loved the property and the proximity to the lake, which was very close. The restaurant in the hotel was really good and we love the bartender, dale. Room was roomy and clean with a nice kitchenette. Also, they were activities. Scheduled regularly for adults and children. There was a pool, hot tub, and workout room. I really good place to stay. Looks like there’s a network issue

I loved that it was surrounded by restaurants to accommodate all food preferences and the lake behind the resort is beautiful! There’s plenty to do onsite and offsite.

We had a 2 night stay at this hotel. Received a text after arriving indicating no house keeping. Another for closed hotel amenities (indoor / outdoor pools, etc.)
The staff were mostly non-attentive (except the concierge who was very friendly). No self-parking so another $27 x 3 for valet. Beds were comfy and location is good but would not stay here again.

Check in was chaotic. They couldn't find both of my rooms, and overall check-in time took about 45 minutes and two trip to the front desk. I am looking for my receipt for one of my rooms which I do not have. Before my stay, no one could tell me if the kitchen had a toaster. The pillows were worn and not comfortable. The pullout couch mattress was horrible. A K cup coffee machine would have been preferred.

Excellent resort! Rooms were clean they had free washers and dryers and even their own free Redbox style dvd rental. On top of all that there are a ton of came ties including easy beach access and a great pool area

I love this property. Just a wonderful experience all around.

The room was comfortable (1 bedr suite), the bath was large, shower large, kitchen good. There were minor repairs needed (rip in carpet) and the dishwasher was awful. It cleaned nothing. No recycling. No throw blanket or pillows for the couch and chair. Dining chairs were too low for the table but we used pillows from the bedroom. Hotel layout was so confusing, we just went in and out from the parking lot door near our room. Saw a bear in the garbage enclosure. Excellent coffee shop across the street - highly recommend them. Isabella's is a great italian restaurant nearby.

I didn't like the location, very noisy area. The worst is the closest beach, very dirty.
One more thing, the fan in the room is so loud, it wakes me up every time it s on, did not get a good night sleep. I think that was the worst part.
I did expect a more relaxing stay, as i am used to in lake tahoe, But this location was not the best for me.
Btw, When i booked the stay, i was given this address at 4100 Lake Tahoe Blvd, South Lake Tahoe, CA, 96150
But on last email confirmation , the address was 901 Ski Run Blvd, South Lake Tahoe, United States of America, 96150
So when i arrived, i was confused.
Another thing, the valet only parking was not my favorite, even though they bring the car when asked… but i don’t have that freedom like home. This place didn’t feel home for me.
I don’t think i will come back there again

Improvements - Valet parking is a hassle. We missed dinner reservation as it takes 15 minutes to retrieve the vehicle from a neighboring parking lot. Instead provide self-parking onsite. Hampton Inn for example has self parking at $15 per day. Room doors - provide door stops in each room. My toes hit against the main door trying to get luggage through to my room. Discount on para sailing at neighboring Ski Run did not apply when trying to use it with mountain cash, though we were told it would work.

Didn’t see it was valet only until I got the email confirming my stay and couldn’t get refund or change at that point. So forced to tack on another $27 and $200 deposit on top of everything when you check in wasn’t stated in booking either which would of been nice to know, not that I was doing anything but sleeping in the room. Bed was a little hard and not that comfortable. Room could have used a little better cleaning in a few areas and the tv wasn’t very user friendly and just stopped working (no signal) for about 5 minutes in the middle of watching something. Literally everything you do is an extra $26 including using the WiFi and game room. Felt like I was being fee’d to death for a place that wasn’t worth the price of the room.

Had to valet because no other parking option so would’ve been nice to know up front. Also WiFi didn’t work the first night and spotty a few nights after. Whirlpool is too small and busy for the size of the property. Otherwise the place was pretty good.
