The week was booked for a conference at the Excel London so location was great, in general the stay was ok until the Wednesday night when there was no water for washing, showers or toilets... In the morning there was still no water with no knowledge when the supply would return. I took the decision to check-out and find another hotel for the remainder of the week so I could have basic sanitary and shower facilities. I requested a refund for the final night however the hotel stated it was a non-refundable booking and there they were not able to refund the last of 4 nights... very disappointing!

It’s surprising that in 2024 this hotel doesn’t provide basic amenities for their guest. No refrigerator, no microwave nor pressing iron. Yall gotta do better.

Avoid this place its nasty, hair in shower cubical, little hairs on my bed, I booked ibis rather than ibis budget which was like 2 doors away expecting ibis to be better than ibis budget but the barking ibis puts a bad name for ibis, It was nasty and false advertisement claiming to have city views and black out curtains,only thing I had view of was trees and dual carriage way and the black out curtains in my room had big gap on side which I couldn’t close so was no black out but lots of sunlight at 5am, I will not be going back there again, the ibis on m25 is cheaper and cleaner but if I had known it was gonna be that bad I would of saved £££ by going ibis budget, for me I think premier inn and holiday inn especially is much better and have standards. Ibis barking are dirty and have no quality control in place, they want to take your money but don’t want to provide the service. Avoid and definitely will not be using them again !!

Easy check in,comfortable room. only stayed for a short time as had an early flight but security was very helpful getting me a taxi as my taxi came over half an hour early and at 4 in the morning it was nice to have the help.

The facility has lost its touch over the years. In terms of cleanliness and facilities in the rooms. IBIS Barking is not what it used to be. The rooms are dirty.

Stayed here when in for an eye appointment at Moorfields (Okd Street/Moorgate). Very easy to get into town, quiet, cool on a summer’s day and pleasant stafff. Would stay here again.

I am a regular customer at this hotel the service i recieved from the black lady with the glasses was absolutely horrendous. I have showed her my booking and my ID yet she did not believe i had made a booking even though i showed her confirmation even got to the point where she told me to email my confirmation booking to her i am a member and have paid some serious money to this hotel she lacks customer services

The property is well placed for convenient rail access and car parking to enable travelling around. The staff were very pleasant. The one drawback was no safe in the room.

Good quality in terms of price. Rooms simple but everything you need in there. Staff seemed quite slow and unresponsive. Car park was £8 a day which was annoying but not the end of the world. Breakfast was nice and so was restaurant. Exactly what you need for somewhere to crash after a busy day.

I would like to bring to your urgent attention my total dissatifaction and bad experience i had during my stay at your hotel over the weekend.
I spoke to a lady in the evening of 4th May 2025 who checked me in about the case and she told me the previous customers must have been the ones.
I informed her the room was a having a strong very bad smell of being smoked in!!!!!
She acknowledged it and said they would send a team with a special machine to make sure the smell is removed. I informed her i came for holiday and am not happy by this and now i had to leave the room due to the bad smell and went and stayed out longer to avoid it.
On Sunday afternoon i asked her to please send a team and that the smell is sooooo bad while i was again moving out.
To my suprise when i came back that night on sunday. It was still there. I had to try to sleep with the windows open, with alot of discomfort totally not happy!!!!!!!!!
In the end i could not sleep. I was having a very unpleasant smell with in the room and bed!!!!
While doing the check out i raised my concern and the gentleman at the desk told me he coul not do anything but also told me the girl had not left any info on the handover about this case! This is not good customer care and service plus follow up!!!
