My daughter and I stayed here before skiing the next day at Monarch. We loved this place. We enjoyed the pool, the continental breakfast and the vibe. This is my go to spot from now on when in Salida.

We had such a great time at the Loyal Duke. It’s a dated property, but very clean, comfortable, and very exceptional staff. We enjoyed learning the Loyal Duke story from friends.

Dog friendly, close to food options. The Mexican restaurant right next to the place is great. Their coffee in the morning is really good. It’s an older place on the outside but they’ve redone the inside. Would recommend and stay here again.

Only stayed for one night, but the room was quiet and the bed was very comfortable. Left before breakfast, so can’t comment. Would have gotten an excellent if there were coffee in the room. Staff was very nice at check in!

This motel is in need of some renovation. The complimentary breakfast was very minimal and almost no eating area. I would not stay there again and can’t recommend it.

Comfortable beds
Clean room.
Swimming pool and hot tubs was a big plus after a long day riding a motorcycle.
Property is old and needs a good renovation but cleanness and service makes up for it.

My wife and I were stayed here to celebrate our 20th anniversary. The staff was very friendly. The hotel was simple, but nice. The only issue we had was our second night some of the people staying in the neighboring rooms were extremely loud all night long. Other than that, it was a good stay. We will definitely be stayng again in the future.

Great little dog-friendly motel with clean, comfortable room. Stayed in the very quiet room between the office & vending machine (no neighbors!). Enjoyed the hot tub, indoor pool and visiting dogs. Limited, but decent breakfast of breads, hard/boiled eggs, granola bars, cereal, bananas & apples, and one flavor yogurt (strawberry-banana, the worst kind). Friendly front desk staff including the woman who helped us w/the hot tub cover. Easy walking to the mini golf, aquatic center, Soulcraft Brewing, a distillery and some restaurants.

Great location! The staff was very friendly and very helpful. The room was clean, a little smaller than I had expected, but fine for 2 people. The continental breakfast food was fresh and there was plenty of variety. We would stay again! 🙂

The room is small for three people, but it worked for us for two nights.
