Usually a good place to stay, but this time the room was dirty. The floor is loose and noise. The walls are paper thin and could hear everything from the next room.

Staff was fantastic, friendly, courteous, helpful. Hotel is new, fresh, clean, well-maintained, well-run. Management has put together a great team of employees that is a welcome change from many typical hotels. My favorite feature is their secure underground parking, protected from the elements and hotel outsiders. We wish they had self-service laundry facilities on premises, because their are no laundramats within 20 miles and 4500 feet of elevation (Alamogordo) -- and those are shabby -- go to Ruidoso Downs instead. Grand Cloudcroft Hotel is at nearly 9,000 feet of elevation, so if you have respiratory difficulties or problems, expect chronic shortness of breath. However, we will return to this very nice hotel in an amazing and refreshing microclimate. Thank you Mark, Julie, and staff.

We booked our rooms at Hotels.com for $252 a room for 2 nights but were charged $335.20 at the hotel. The kitchen staff were short handed, the Hotel was booked full, and it was a made to order breakfast and they only had 1 staff to cook, serve and restock. The stay was great, the Hotel was clean, sitting on the terrace was relaxing, the staff was super friendly and helpful. It was sad that the indoor pool is still not complete. I would definitely stay there again, but next time i will pay better attention to the charges.

It was a nice place to stay very clean, comfortable and nice. We were on a bike trip and they allowed us to take te bikes to the room. We didn’t struggle because the elevator was spacious enough to get the bikes to the second floor,

I like having more options for lodging in Cloudcroft but I was a bit disappointed that it was similar to every other run-of-the-mill hotel. The room was clean but small and there is no sound insulation between floors. The ping-pong table just down the hall is quite loud. Guests have to walk up a hill from the parking lot to the hotel entrance.

The hotel seemed to be quite new, and the room was pleasant, well-appointed and clean with a very comfortable bed. The lobby and breakfast area were attractive and the custom-made breakfast was a delicious surprise. Our only minor suggestions would be to provide glasses or at least disposable drinking cups in the bathroom, and to install a large dressing mirror somewhere in the room.

The room was uber clean, the new a/c units were quiet, the shower was powerful, the bed firm but pliant. I wish they would use real cracked eggs for breakfast and the liquid eggs with no flavor.
