very historic hotel with good food and service, was the most unique hotel that we stayed at during our European tour, no elevator so a bit of work carrying suitcases upstairs, nice town of Urlau

A great history and a definite Small German village feel. All staff was friendly, helpful and wanted one to feel at home. Excellent food came out of their kitchen and all in our party enjoyed their delicious meals. They made it comfortable to play Sheepshead in the dining room and provided bar service. The rooms were clean and well maintained and had historical old German feel. It was like a pleasant step back in time. The entire family enjoyed the experience and fully endorse staying at Hotel Hirsch.

Charming inn across from an old church, a few kms outside Leutkirch in Allgäu. At first I was very disappointed that the inn wasn't actually in the town, but the staff were so friendly and charming, it didn't take long to get over it. There is no elevator in the hotel, with a substantial staircase to climb with luggage, but the woman at reception was quick to help with carrying my heavy suitcase up the stairs. The room was quite charming, in a small town way... right down to the church bells that chimed every 15 minutes, 24/7. I personally love church bells, so only mention it for those who don't. Parking is on the roadside, but the area Danes to be quite safe; I think.

Quaint older building, Staff was excellent, rooms clean and fresh, common areas were also nice. Be prepared as it is next to farm and a church which rings bells every hour.
