Very accommodating hotel staff. Excellent breakfast!!! Restaurant open late until 11pm 👍. Rooftop pool could be prettier, decorated better, made to look more inviting. Bird poop falls into the pool from the ledge above 👎. Maybe the best hotel in Teresina.

I enjoyed my stay at the Metropolitan Hotel in Teresina, Brasil. Although the language barrier you my want to have a translator like Google translate to help you out. Very nice and gracious staff.

A lovely, safe, well located spot to spend the night. They were remodeling thew lobby but it looked like it will be finished soon. An unexpected balcony was one of many little touches that made our stay pleasant. We were visiting the incredible beaches of Barra Grande, a six hour drive north and had an early flight home so wanted to stay closer to the airport. The Metropolitan did not disapoint. Very friendly staff and mostly COVID sensitive. A few risks in the breakfast room- shared handle on the coffee urn rather than individual carafes for example- but given the loaction it was just fine.

The only problem was that Ive reserve a queen bed! And when i arrived i got two beds, and I was to tired to go down and changed it, I was very upset at the beggining because Ive make reaervation with some days of anticipation!

The Metropolitan Hotel is in the center of the city and a bit of an oasis given the heat of the city. The rooms are large, well furnished and comfortable. The staff is generally very good.

Excellent room; a good restaurant and a very nice staff. Teresina is a terrible place to go (too hot) and this hotel looks like a paradise in such a city.

I stayed here on a work trip and while I did not expect a "world-class" experience in Teresina, Brazil. However, I expected to be able to communicate at least with one hotel staff member in English or Spanish given that it was a "metropolitan" hotel. The conversation to check in or out of the hotel was largely conducted by hand gestures, which isn't terrible, but not ideal for a hotel that is said to be one of the best in Teresina. My colleagues had worse communication experiences when they tried to ask for a wake-up call, the phones in the rooms did not work and they did not have an ironing board. It was my understanding that hand gestures to communicate these facts went poorly. One evening, my co-workers and I got back to the hotel late and decided to order dinner in the hotel restaurant. We were promptly served, however, our drinks arrived at different times from one another (beer first, juice was 20 minutes later) and our dinner orders, which consisted of pizza took almost an hour to arrive at our table. I would not recommend eating at the hotel for lunch or dinner. After leaving the hotel I emailed them to ask if I left behind an item. I made sure to send my message in English and Portuguese to get my question across and never heard back from the hotel personnel. If your travels take you to Teresina and this is the best the city has to offer and you do not know Portuguese, be prepared to struggle.
