Seemed like a well established property under excellent management. My particular room was completely remodeled from top to bottom. Looked like a picture out of an HGTV magazine. Beautiful finishes everywhere. The bed was super comfortable as well. I have nothing negative to add about this property.

My actual rating is 3-1/2 stars. The room that I had at the inn was nice for the rate that I was paying. I was not aware that the inn offers extended/long-term stay options as well. However, had I known, that would not have had a bearing on my decision to book my stay there. I just think it is a good idea to be transparent when leaving reviews. I was told by one of the staff that the new owners took over approximately a year ago. This review was written in October 2024. I was also told that 10 of the 58 rooms have been renovated. The plan is to eventually renovate all of the rooms to look similar to the one that I had. I had one of the recently renovated rooms. Following are some notes that may help you (the reader) make a decision about booking your stay there. LOCATION: The location is good. The inn is not far from the 55 expressway. The inn is approximately 45 minutes from Chinatown, Maxwell St. and Greektown. It also took me 45-50 minutes to get to the Northwest side of town by taking the 55 to the 90/94 expressways. For incidentals, snacks and general food items, there is a Dollar Tree, a Walmart, and a grocery store nearby on Harlem Ave. DINING OPTIONS: There are numerous local restaurants in the area (both take out, as well as dine-in). STAFF: The staff was friendly and accomodating. The staff tries to make your stay as comfortable, and as pleasant as possible. PARKING: There is ample and easy parking on the premises.

It was exactly what we needed. A hotel at the right price in the right place. There were a couple of inconveniences like having to ask for towels every day, but for the price it was exactly what we needed.

Had issues with the TV, had no regular stations, and the stations that we did try to watch had issues trying to connect, stating it was unavailable. I went to inquire about a guide for the television and the clerk, states "I don't know, laughing, when I stay here, I don't watch the television. I know we had one but don't know where it went. Sorry, I can't help you!

I love the convenience and the safety

This place was scary. When I arrived the front desk window said that you had to pay $10 Cash for a deposit(which I thought was strange), but then I was told that they needed to put a $100 deposit on my card. I walked into the room and the lighting was terrible and there was a table but no chair also when I went to use the bathroom I could not find a toilet tissue holder and there was no tissue in the room so I had to go back to the front desk. I took lots of pictures but I dont have time to load them right now sorry.

I didn't stay. Hustlers and vagrants rampant , and standing outside room doors. Manager refused to refund my monies.

In the heart of Palestine plaza full of Arabs feels like a village in Afghanistan... If you wanna wake up in the morning for knocking at the door by house keeping crew... Blanket too hot couldn't sleep well... Sink outside the shower...

The room we were placed in had an awful stench to the extent it made me nauseous and vomit. We asked staff to place us in another room which they did however had the same stench. We asked them for a refund and they said we were to wait 24 hours. We then went to another hotel to stay at and later found out they denied the refund due to their policy despite their location being unsanitary. Awful experience, would not recommend to anyone.

This property was in awful condition on the interior. The pictures are very generous compared to reality. Pillowcases and duvet had stains without cases on either. The toliet was filthy with pee around the rim when entering the room. The rooms smelled very strongly of cigarettes and the floors were filthy. When getting out of the shower my feet would be black from walking around on the floor barefoot after. The sink didn’t even have a drain cap either and the AC would only turn on temporarily. The vents were covered in dust. I am not sure when the last time it was cleaned, but was definitely not cleaned prior to check in. Overall, the hotel was disgusting, but I guess the price reflects what you pay for, but even so it was not worth the money. On top of this the walls are paper thin and you can hear every word said outside of the room as well as in the rooms next door.
