Quiet place out from hassle of city jam. Comfort with good service. Last day before leaving its the boss of Alamanda prepared breakfast for us even its too early because of our early flight. For those who enjoy the sound of crickets and frogs than its ok to stay there its like a music to sooth yr ear before sleeping.

The experience was absolutely incredible with the gracious host and the friendly staff from the driver/tourguide to the Rosella staff. They made our stay unforgettable.

The service was exceptional & very personal. If you want to be at a quiet location this is great. The villa was clean & laundry was free. The host Frans & our guide/driver's advice helped made our trip planning easy. The view of the padi field right in front of our villa is spectacular.

One of the best stays we have ever experienced!!! Truely attentionate towards his guests, always trying to help and is understanding. We've never experienced anything like it and can only strongly recommend it to anyone who wishes to stay in Yogyakarta! If you have been stressed out, tired and in need of a real holiday, this is the place to go!!!

Amazing staff. Frans is great and so is his team. One of the most accommodating places ive ever stayed at. They will organize and handle all of your touring of the surrounding area if you want (all at a great price). HIGHLY recommended you also eat at his restaurant (within walking distance).

It was very good stay. Frans who is the owner of Alamanda is very helpful. Overall it was a very nice trip for us.

Great setting, good view and somewhat rustic. The owner, Frans however is a modern day Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. He can be so accommodating and welcoming but then become unreasonable, loud and very rude and aggressive when he loses it even if it's his mistake. He forgot to send the driver to pick me up from the market and didn't respond to any messages so I had to get a cab. When I mentioned it on my return I was shouted at; taunted about my nationality; bodily directly by him and asked to leave the hotel immediately! This treatment of guests seems to be a regular occurrence which I had witnessed on previous days. They run a restaurant too, a stone's throw away with a limited menu but good food. Friendly and obliging staff which unfortunately do not make up for Frans' repugnant character. Thumbs down people. I've stayed in lots of hotels, from 1 to 5 stars, but never come come across someone like this. Travellers, please rethink your decision if you are considering this hotel.

I enjoyed day time activities for 3 days. And villa in the rice fileld is very nice and tranquil. Restaurant Rosella tastes good and the way to Rosella is a small adventurous and fantastic. If I have chance to revisit Yogyakarta, I will check this villa first.
