The little extras like free coffee at check-in and dinner on the house make this hotel something really special! It's cozy and friendly and has become my first choice to stay when I travel to Finland.

Amazing hotel with amazing staff, everyone was so friendly, breakfast and dinner were included with the stay, and they were delicious, there was a sauna and the rooms were spacious and clean. The history and architecture of the hotel was so fun and added to the charm, and it was very conveniently located to city center

Very nice place and the service couldnt be better. We arrived late and the girl in the reception was so nice helping us with where we could get food and also warmed it for us in the microwave, what a service :)

Very clean and welcoming and nice staff. Stayed three nights and was highly satisfied quality of sleep and free breakfast, afternoon cake & coffee and light evening meal. Tram stop at front entrance to property making getting around easy, Reception excellent & informative on arrival.

It's a good hotel (ex prison though) with good facilities and nice food which is complimentary.
I would prefer a bigger bed because the single one was really small in my opinion.

Very cool place. Being a prison in its earlier day the theme goes through out the place - even original cells on display. Super friendly employees and breakfast, fika and dinner included. And my room was wonderful- large and well appointed. Perfect location if you are about to catch ferry from Helsinki to Tallinn.

Excellent property. The staff were extremely helpful and responsive. The food was great and was in walking distance of center Helsinki. Property was a prison for over 200 years, and was cool to see these asthetics integrated into the soul of the hotel. Would stay again and highly recommend!

The staf at the desk , Not professionell! I ask How far was the City Center . Hé didn‘t tell me there was a Tram at the door taking us there in a couple of mn .

This hotel was one of the highlights of our stay! It's historical and used to be a prison and as a result the hotel has a unique architecture and is quite cozy. The breakfast and dinner are included in the cost of your stay as well making it an even better value. If I go back to Helsinki, I will stay here again regardless of the cost.

Interesting background as a former prison. Less than ideal that sauna was only available in the morning. Breakfast food left something to be desired. Staff was friendly and helpful. Convenient tram stop right out the front door of the hotel.
