Quaint hotel, a bit of a hidden gem. Gabriel st front desk was particularly helpful and pleasant. The small town it is located in deserves to be visited. Beautiful beach, nice restaurants plus a boardwalk.

Our stay at this resort was absolutely amazing! We loved every about it. The room, the pool, the staff all awesome!

The Belavista Hotel was perfect for our laid-back vacation! Our room was well-appointed, very clean, with a fabulous ocean view overlooking the pool area. The staff- from the receptionist, to the beach bar attendees, to the cleaning staff were friendly and helpful. The "British style" breakfast was hearty and the hotel snack bar and restaurant were very good as well. The large pool (there was a smaller shallow pool) was almost Olympic size and we appreciated that they have a tennis court! The only drawback: we didn't have a car and the hotel is a good 1/2 mile from the center of town, up a pretty steep hill. Front desk was not friendly , told us wrong breakfast start time , room headboard dusty, minimal amenities (no shampoo), everything was old, the gym smelled like a swamp gamey with no ac, poor lighting in our room, also gave us wrong directions for famous boardwalk, smoking and marijuana smoke smells coming into our room. Facility is smoke free. Pool beautiful but freezing cold & no one swimming. Front desk said we could walk to beach but didn’t mention there was a free parking lot half way to beach. Also we were waiting for important papers and they didn’t let us know they received them the day before and charged us per page printed. Just not an enjoyable experience. Luckily the boardwalk, Lagos town, kayak trip & visit to Sagres were all winners and so enjoyable. Saved our trip. Would not stay here ever again.

Staff are great very helpful and always available. The building is older, need updating with electrical charging plugs. (Only 1functioning in room) Other than that loved hotel, location and staffs. Would recommend to friends.

Perfect Hotel

Nice hotel and nice big room and balcony. Bathroom could use an upgrade. Walkable to Luz town. Great breakfast options and restaurant. Overall, great relaxing stay and the staff was so friendly. I would recommend/ stay here again!

The property itself was okay. The pool bar attendant was great. The remainder of the staff, particularly the older woman at the front desk, were completely indifferent - borderline rude. They behaved as if they were doing us a favor speaking to us, much less checking us in. They were not at all helpful navigating the area. They even provided wrong information. I will not stay there again.

Staff were customer oriented and service focussed. Hotel had all the amenities you need.

They do not provide water bottle on second day of our stay. Breakfast was ok.

A perfectly placed hotel with sea views. The town was easily accessible on foot. Breakfast options were very good.

Property was exceptionally well maintained, cleanliness was on point and rooms were consistently cleaned. Breakfast was a delight and an overall great value for money on location being 5 minutes from the beach, an excellent hotel

The views are wonderful. The swimming pool is beautiful. The breakfast is very basic.

Quiet and clean hotel. Nice to have sauna and steam room available. Half board choice at dinner was not great. I thought that the smaller swimming pool was heated but it was not.

Clean, modern, and close to some great activities.

The staff were quite Rise especially the man called Manuel working in the restaurant who purposly made my husband uncomfortable and embarrased by shouting out various things while we were having breakfast and dinner All due the fact we did not leave a tip the first night as we thought service was bad Also other guests told us they found him and other staff in the bar very strange and all but nice and serviceminded

AC did not cool room (in July in the midst of a heatwave) translating to a sleepless night. We had to leave the sliding door open to survive the heat. Tourists outside partied until after 3 am. The property was old and run down with overly used furniture, holes in sheets and the worst mattress ever slept on. Only good thing was the kind reception when checking in. This "4-star" property is a 2-star at best.

Lovely place

Good basic hotel. Rooms were very large and extremely clean. The room was cleaned every day and fresh towels were given daily. The breakfast was not so good. Quite limited range and small portions, we went the first day but not thereafter. The pool is lovely and the area large with enough beds in the sun for all. Providing pool towels is great too. The pool bar was well serviced and the food was good and varied. The decor overall was a little dated, the restaurant and bar area definitely needs updating. We did not eat here in the evening as there are plenty of great restaurants in Luz to choose from that we knew already. Location is great, 15 minute walk to the beach and restaurants, yet still quiet to sleep here.

Beautiful place but a bit removed from things. We thought it was closer to the beach. Fortunately we have a car so it worked out.

The front desk lady was really unhelpeful. The bedroom was really noisy, no shampoo, conditioner, moisturizer, plates, cups, nothing. Breakfast was really disappointing, bread, croissant, coffee, anyway, we did not like anything. I think we paid too much for what we got. I do not recommend it.This was the worst hotel in our Portugal trip.
