Stairs to 2nd floor and Floor above me creaked so loudly even when a child ran across floor. Sounded like giants were moving heavy equipment all evening.

Have been staying at Porches over the past 19 years. Never disappoints! Tranquil setting. Friendly and accommodating staff. Excellent breakfast.

Frankly too expensive for what it is. The coffee and food at breakfast was well below average.
There is a very good coffee spot in the MAS MOA complex across from the hotel.

Love Porches! Great spot for a solo stay, a romantic one, or with kids. Relaxing with plenty to do in walking distance.

Very beautiful, peaceful property with lovely porches. Everything was extremely well maintained and the staff was thoughtful, helpful and kind. The public rooms are welcoming and comfortable, and the porches are great. The private room was small but just the right amount of space. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was fresh and delicious with many diverse offerings. The granola was excellent.

We went off season and it was very expensive for the size and condition of the room. Since it was mostly empty I would've loved an upgrade offer. I had to call the front desk and the phone was so sticky and dirty, one of our robes was dirty, had Chapstick in the pocket and food stuck to it. Lastly, the breakfast wasnt as good as I had hoped. It said hot breakfast but no meats, other than cold salmon. For the cost, I had higher expectations and was bummed out because I paid more than I normally do for a room.

Always a treat to stay at Porches and walk to Mass MOCA. Made sure to enjoy the heated pool in March.

The staff was kind but the overall hospitality was subpar for this nightly rate. The sauna area has no towels or soft carpet in winter weather, the "lounge" smelled like mildew and had some repair work laid out in the middle. A hot pot of water or coffee during the day would cost little and go far. Probably much nicer in better weather

Love the funky vibe at Porches.
Room was well appointed, with a large bath, a couple of comfortable chairs, and a mini-bar (which we didn't wind up using). Staff were friendly. The breakfast selections were fantastic, and the hard working breakfast staff kept the buffet well stocked and the tables clean.
