Bathroom looked like it had been recently refurbished other fixtures fittings and furniture worn, wallpaper in need of sticking down in places very drab and unappealing colours for bedspreads. Bedding clean comfy bed. Can't understand why a one bedroom apartment for 2 people came with 2 single beds in the living room wasn't comfortable sitting watching TV also why 3 cups etc when the unit could sleep 4

Very grateful to the lovely receptionist who allowed us to check in early and check out an hour late.
The room was clean and tidy, well presented, very comfortable and warm. I would definitely consider staying here again.

The Senator is a nice hotel on the Waterfront in Gisborne. It is walkable to the central business district. We enjoyed our stay there, and found the people who own it to be very hospitable and willing to assist.
