We have never stayed in a property like this, so we found it unique. It is a large old house with 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. The house is renovated with good taste and is very clean. There were no other guests in the house during our 1-night stay, so we (2 people) had all the common areas to ourselves. This property would be great for a larger group for a special occasion. The large backyard, well-equipped kitchen and two living areas would be wonderful for entertaining. We are not familiar with the area and did not have time to explore so cannot comment on that; it is relatively close (1.5 hr) from the Americal River rafting which is the reason we chose this location before a long drive back to So Cal.

Lots of homeless folks just outside the property and very rude neighbors in the street cursing at me any time I left.
The set up was very cute and charming overall. It was very hot upstairs (81) despite adjusting the thermostst but the owner was responsive and gave me a few options to stay cool. This is definitely more of an Airbnb kind of situation than a hotel. Definitely a good place for vacationing to Lodi. I wouldn't recommend if you're needing a place for work trips.

No manager to talk to. Called and missed her and then a text message. I really did not talk to a human during all my transactions. Disappointed. Ran out of tissue paper no back up. No waste basket in the room. Shared the rest of house with strangers. I guess I was expecting a more private situation. Would I do again? NO same opinion as the people I shared the house with. Lucky for me they were friendly and very nice. I was lucky

We only stayed on night at the Grape Escape but it was a fabulous house! Very well appointed, with a big kitchen and a fabulous backyard. My wife said, "well, now we know what our dream house would look like..."
Walked to the downtown area and enjoyed the quiet neighborhood so close to all the restaurants and bars.

This is our third stay at The Grape Escape. It is our go to spot for a quick get away. It is beautiful, quiet and so comfortable. We love using the spa and the outdoor fire pit. We highly recommend this sweet place to stay in Lodi.

Beautiful house! Small bedroom but large downstairs with high end kitchen and a hot tub in the back. Even had a Nespresso machine with pods for use! The bedroom had a comfy bed and renovated bathroom. Great price for this!

This is the second time we have stayed at the Grape Escape. We absolutely love this property. It is very clean, stylish, and very cozy. We will return as often as possible, as we absolutely have enjoyed every minute at the Grape Escape.

We had an awesome stay, very relaxing. We were able to walk to go see a movie, we definitely will for another relaxing getaway!

First off we always stay in hotels where you know what to expect. Did not realize this was a old house, we came into a dark entrance, up noisy stairs to a closed door and we had our hands full of luggage. The upstairs lobby area was dark,couldn’t find a light switch had to use my phone to see with. No heat in the room and we got very cold. Next morning in the daylight I found the thermostat and light switch BEHIND the upstairs door.
Otherwise if we had the time it was a nice property
