taxi driver took me to Livia Hotel where I had booked a large 'quadruple family room with patio and garden view...an employee took me a few blocks away to the Livia Garden Hotel where I met the owner/manager who tried to put me in a hot tiny second floor room and offered no compensation for the room switch.....it got ugly and I had to get testy about staying in the type of room I had booked....I was taken back to the Livia Hotel and was told that renovations were ongoing...the hotel was not in active use and I would have to walk to the the Garden hotel for breakfast....I stayed in the quadruple room for 2 nights while visiting Selcuk and the Ephesus ruins...never saw another soul...never went to breakfast because I overslept one day and left too early the next...as far as the room goes I would stay here again....and there is also the less than transparent owner/manager- so- maybe not..

The manager was great, he helped us to rearrange our booking and even packed us beakfast when we checked out early in the morning. Great gesture. Clean hotel, friendly and welcoming personal and decent breakfast. Totally recommended.
