We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the room was. Clean and modern furnishings in a quiet room with a stocked fridge. Will surely stay here from now on when in New Smyrna!

Very cute place to stay for a couples getaway. The location is perfect. It’s just steps from the back patio to the beach and the outdoor area with seating was perfect. Our only complaint is the shower pressure is very weak and the water smells. Overall it was a great place to stay.

Pros- Room size, comfortable beds, oceanfront, walkable to restaurants & shops, great setup with chaise loungers & umbrellas facing ocean, super nice host
Cons- bathroom door should NOT have slats (it needs to be a solid door…privacy pls), sitting chairs right outside glass doors but no privacy-can see all other guests right there too (need dividers of some sort), grassy area by chaise loungers is full of stickers- they need to turf this area

Just feel in love with the place. We’re locals just north of there and just wanted an overnighter on the beach. It was perfect. We can’t wait to return. Cheers!

Adorable ocean front vintage building with lovely updated rooms. Property and rooms were very clean and well maintained. Rooms have beautiful ocean view. Patios lead to a grassy area with chairs and umbrellas and a shower and then right to the beach. We will be back for sure.

This was such a quaint, nice motel. So well decorated, the ease of checking in, and so beautiful. We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend.

This little 5 room motel is a GEM!!!! Walk out your back door and you are footsteps from the beach. You park your car out frt and don't need it at all. Everything is a short walk...shops... restaurants...and bars....the room was SPOTLESS and cozy and comfortable. Can't wait to stay again...we had room #1 which had a walkin shower. There is only 5 rooms so it's a nice private place.you can sit outside your room and out back on comfortable lounge chairs with umbrellas. If I rate this 10 stars I would.

I can’t say enough about The Salty Mermaid. It was a little slice of paradise. I went there to relax, be alone and find peace after a series of personal tragedies. I couldn’t have picked a better place. I will be going back. The golf cart rentals really add to the experience as well as the innumerable thoughtful amenities.

The Salty Mermaid is a unique hotel right in the heart of new smyrna. Comfortable beds, clean and within walking distance to all all the shops and restaurants. They also have golf carts for rent so you don’t need to go far if you need to rent one. Nice people!
