We had only booked a one-night stay to do the Great Ocean Road, all through our evening we were musing that we wished we had been able to spend more time in Aireys Inlet just to be able to enjoy the hotel.
When the room was first booked, we assumed that it would be nothing more than a clean room and bathroom to rest and reset on the road - we arrived to what looked like a stunning spa resort! The lady we spoke to at check-in was lovely and warm, was happy to give us plenty of information about the area and then handed us our key for the room.
As soon as we opened the door to the room, our jaws hit the floor and we almost thought we had to go back to the reception because we'd accidentally been given someone else's suite. Nope, it was ours! The rooms were bright and warm, wonderful decor, a bed so comfy we were almost late for check-out. There was a wonderful cocktail kit (complete with spirit, garnish, syrups, juice, etc) the room also came with a Manhattan shaker, coup glasses and tradition hawthorn strainer, bar spoon and jigger, there was a kettle, toaster, and coffee pod machine.
The bathroom had a WONDERFUL waterfall shower with beautiful tiling and basin sink. We were almost sad to be going to dinner with friends away from the premises as everything was so lovely!
Thank you again to the wonderful staff who took care of us, we had such an amazing stay!

Overall it was a very pleasant and comfortable stay.
We look forward to returning soon to continue to explore the Great Ocean Road region.

We decided on an overnight escape down the beach, last minute. The hotel was lovely even providing a yoga mat to use for a great start to the day. Although the weather wasn't suitable for swimming, the pool and spa look great!

There are ants crawling over the table, hopefully this will be rectified when the cleaning staff come in, otherwise a great place to wind down and relax

WOW!! This place is super cute! We loved the modern-retro theme ( I'm not a designer so I really don't know what else to call it). Everything was clean and updated and new. The room was so welcoming from the beautiful furnishings,expresso machine, blue tooth speaker to the super cozy seating area with floor rug. Easy access to incredible Surfside walk. Head East and go to the end where it meets the beach.(2miles, not the first beach access) and then continue to where the beach is split by the gorge. It's just beautiful! We highly recommend this as a best place a to stay on The Great Ocean Road!

Lovely stay at Sunnymead, everything was perfect! Room was clean with everything you could possibly need including plates and cutlery. Pool was a lovely treat after a day on the GOR. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, would recommend to anyone.

Loved the style of this hotel. Everything felt fresh and new. Extra touches like bath robes, toaster, plates, cutlery and even dishwashing liquid were fantastic. Great value for money. Easy walking distance to food and the lighthouse.
