We were in town for one night. Since I've stayed at this motel before, I knew it was clean and in a convenient location. It was the perfect spot. The man on duty was very kind and helpful to answer all my questions and we had a great stay. Will be back!

Check-in and room were perfect! But the check-out was a disaster. I asked where I could go for a good omelet in the morning, and then walked a few blocks to the place recommended by the person in the Reception. When I returned (around 9:30am), my room door was open, and my personal items and luggage had been messed with. The receptionist said that I had left my room key in the Reception (which I didn't) and therefore he assumed that I had left the hotel. The $5 tip that I left for the maid where taken from the envelope on which I had written that the drain of the bathroom sink should be unclogged. My plan to use the bathroom after returning from my walk and rest for a few minutes before checking out went out the window. I don't like anyone touching my toothbrush and other personal items, or putting them in my suitcase which I had left opened, of course. The towels were gone, the bedding were taken from the bed, the window shades were open, all without my authorization. I was so upset that I left unopened items in the refrigerator, and I had to stop and buy new ones for the next leg of my otherwise perfect trip.

Went to TC to see the fireworks festival and found this place to stay. Was a little pricy for the amenities, but it was relatively normal for the time of year.

A average place, way over priced. Totally took advantage of the Holiday weekend.

I really liked how clean and updated this place was. I could tell the property was kind of old but the owners made some updates to make the place feel modern and cozy. There was a loveseat with nice throw pillows and a breakfast counter with two stools for eating at, along with a regular table and chairs. There was also a microwave and mini coffeemaker. I couldn’t believe there was a full size refrigerator.
Our room was pretty big and roomy and we had a nice big king size bed. There was a big screen TV that was nice for winding down at night. The bathroom had bright lighting that was great for getting ready in the morning.
They had free breakfast snacks and drinks in their lobby in the morning. I really appreciated that. The employee at the front desk was very friendly and helpful.
My only complaint is that the lighting in the room was dimmer than what I’d prefer, but that was not a big deal. Everything else was great. I would stay here again if I were ever in the area.

We very much enjoyed our stay. Grounds and room were quiet. We loved the bed.
The one issue we had was there was no fan in the bathroom. So when you shower, it is stifling in the bathroom.
Other than that, we would absolutely stay again.

This "motel" seems more like a nice hotel in a lot of ways. They made the blinds, the dressers, the colors, the bathroom, the full size fridge... I was impressed. Good job Traverse City Motel!

The doors to the rooms really need to be replaced. The deadlock barely worked and there no additional locks or safety latches on the door. I feel like if you leaned on it too hard, it would open. Did not feel safe.

The front desk team was very courteous and accommodating. The rooms were clean. The only complaint is that the little coffee maker wasn’t working. I like to make a cup when I get up in the morning. I was able to go to the front desk area for a cup.

The room was spacious yet simple in layout. There was a full refrigerator, king bed, and a roomy bathroom. We never felt like we were bumping into furniture like we often have at other lodgings. The price was right for that area, too!

Old school classic motel room. Opposite of fancy but super clean and friendly staff. Plus free breakfast goodies!
