Everything was great except that I would like to have had an extra blanket, just for more weight, you know? Also, in one of the ads it said it said ‘oceanfront’ or ‘beachfront.’ This is wrong. This Howard Johnson’s is not even walking distance to a beach. Otherwise, as I intimated, all good.

Great staff and people. Very friendly and nice. 1) closets. If you are there for business or multiple days. No rods to hang cloths. A few hangers but not near enough put some rods in. Breakfast nice but not consistent one day no muffins. No bagels. A few
Slides of bread and 2 English muffins. Hardly anything at all. Eggs stick to container. Need a little uplift for breakfast. But just suggestions. Will continue staying there

My husband and i stayed in South Portland and we both had a nice and comfortable stay. On our last day we woke up to luke warm water in the shower which wasn't super ideal, but it was warm enough to stand under. The continental breakfast that was served was below par, at best. We went into have breakfast at 8:30 (service shuts down at 9am) and the eggs were cool and hard. The donut/bagel container was basically empty and the juice machine must have been running out because it came out as slightly flavored room temperature water. Staff were all plesant and the rooms are clean and all updated which was very nice. The indoor Pool was clean and heated which was nice.

Tired hotel. Everything felt dirty and unloved. Curtain had holes in them. Breakfast room was awful. Sticky floors and uncleaned tables. I couldn’t bring myself to eat the food. On the plus side there was plenty of parking and the restaurant next door was nice.

We were charged $517.00, for 2 rooms that is now one day later $200.00. the rooms had stains on the sheets, bathroom door did not close, toilet hardly flushed and room smelled. I requested adjoining rooms as my daughter was staying with a one year old. This request was not noted so we did not get it.

The hotel was in a great location, clean, lacking a few items such as shelves in the shower to put your soap on, shampoo etc... The doors need to have something put on them to prevent them from slamming shut, metal to metal. My wife and I would control the door from slamming. others weren't so considerate. We were up until the last door slammed shut.

Family member is the hospital and this is the easiest hotel to use. While it doesn’t have all the fancy things, it feels safe and the beds are comfy.

Second time staying here, due to family in the hospital, very convenient to go back and forth. It’s decent enough and felt safe being a solo traveler. Bed is comfortable and bathroom is clean. The wall by the window showed it had rain issues and it had other cracks and paint issues around the bathroom but again it is what it is.

The rooms aren’t totally up to date like the pictures show but the beds were clean and comfy. Felt safe and our kids enjoyed the pool.

Check in was fine, the clerk was friendly, courteous and helpful. Rooms could use some updating and repairs. Bathroom was cleaned after my first night, but bed was not touched. Not sure they even vacuumed the carpet or cleaned anything else. Hotel was noisy, with kids running and screaming in the halls every night. Parents were no help, as they joined in with the screaming. This was near the open area to the lobby below, so I am sure the front desk could hear what was going on.

We waited way to long for items including our bill, but waitress was friendly and pleasant. We normally don’t eat the free breakfast, but because food was good the night before we did. Had the best ever gal, Janelle, in there to help morning visitors. She was soooo helpful to many in there and started our day off right largely due to her friendliness and service! Hotel maintenance was much needed. Our toilet made a horrible squeaking sound when flushing, tile work on floor was poorly done and collected dirt etc. paint needed in some walls and our tv wouldn’t work.

Ceiling had a water leak which stained the bedspread. Warm water only in shower. Pool water was in need of chlorine. Floor in breakfast area was so sticky that my shoes stuck to floor. Wouldn’t return.

Staff were excellent very considerate and polite. Property has had some quick fixes but for $216 per night and $8.00 for a bottle of water I expected better. Sheets are microfiber not cotton which are not comfortable. Doors slamming by guests late at night rooms need insulating.
