Disappointing stay and would not recommend - left feeling very unrested. Noisy as very close to train track with trains running during night. Recently renovated but basic building old. No receptionist on site so had to check in remotely. Difficulty with getting into room with code provided. Room has microwave, coffee machine and TV plugged into multi socket plug. Fridge as well but not able to use all appliances as caused cut out whilst using microwave and coffee machine. Had to call out maintenance staff who advised us that circuits had not been modernised as part of update so couldn’t cope with appliances provided. We complained about problems and were told that issues were related to “soft opening” by new owners but I don’t understand how the issues with electrics and nearby train track can be improved.

Overall it was a nice hotel, the sink drained slowly but the beds were comfortable. My biggest problem is that in the hotels.com add it said pool but there was no pool nor any access to a pool, the people there let us use the hot tub at their sister hotel a few minutes drive up the road but the whole reason we chose this hotel was to have a pool close by.

Nice stay at this hotel. Railway tracks nearby so hear trains going by. Staff very friendly, but no one at front desk after 6:00 pm. They have self checkin after 6:00 pm.

Great place for the price

There were no additional blankets in the room for when it was cold at night and the kitchen was not well set up to cook a meal. The door on our room did not close well, so there was always a draft coming in. The room was reasonably clean and the beds were fine.

The room was clean, the area around the hotel was quiet. It had adequate parking. Quite enjoyed our stay.

My room was spacious, but that's about it for the good. My bed was lopsided. The bedding did not smell fresh. There was no one at the counter to report issues to after 6pm. I was not at my room before 6pm, I couldn't check out, get a refund, and go somewhere else. I was stuck with the room, felt like it was a cash grab trap. I do not intend to say it was filthy, or that the sheets were slept on and unwashed. Rather the state of cleanliness was below standard (found an arrow root cookie under the chair, and the sheets smelled like they were washed with just water. I will definitely not be staying here again, there are far better options in the area.

Hotel is run down, needs a good clean and face lift. People were smoking in rooms, no one working at the property, no hot tub. Our room was dirty and dingy.
