**Post-Hurricane Helene Update:
We are thrilled to share that our home at Rumbling Bald was undamaged during Hurricane Helene and is ready to welcome guests! While the south end of Lake Lure, including Chimney Rock, continues to recover, Rumbling Bald has cleared storm damage and fully reopened. All seasonal restaurants and amenities are open, with the exception as access to the beach, as crews work diligently to clear debris from the lake. We encourage you to visit, relax, and support local businesses during your stay. If you have any questions about which businesses or attractions are open, don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re happy to help! This listing will be updated as new information becomes available. - Please note that while our home can accommodate 16 adult guests, it is only equipped with 12 guest passes for the Rumbling Bald Amenities (meaning only 12 guests ages 12 and up may utilize the amenities (pools, beach) at one time. Please inquire prior to booking if more clarification on this would be helpful.
- Pet Policy: We welcome up to 2 dogs weighing 50 lbs or less. A pet fee of $75 per pet, per stay, will be applied. Please note that due to limitations with our property management software, this fee cannot be added directly to your booking total and will be processed separately after your booking is confirmed.
- Damage Waiver and Guest Verification: Prior to your arrival, you will be requested to complete guest verification through our trusted third-party provider, Superhog. This process helps us provide additional protection for both our guests and our property. Superhog will reach out to you via email to guide you through the verification process, which includes uploading identification. Please complete this verification before arriving to ensure a smooth check-in experience. As part of this process, you will also be asked to purchase a $35 non-refundable damage waiver through Superhog. This waiver provides coverage for accidental damage up to $500 during your stay. Superhog is committed to creating a safe and secure environment for both guests and hosts. By verifying identities, Superhog helps prevent fraud and ensures that everyone involved is who they say they are. - Daytime Visitors: Only up to two unregistered guests are allowed to visit during the day. Please ensure that all visitors leave by 10 pm to respect the quiet hours.

- Please note that the terrain adjacent to the road and entrance, including the outdoor fire pit area, features steep slopes. Guests are advised to exercise caution, particularly with young children, and use designated pathways to navigate these areas safely.
- Lake Lure is home to some wonderful wildlife, including black bears. While they usually keep to themselves, it's essential to be mindful of their presence and exercise precautions during your stay.
