Great location and close to the car park. So well placed for everything that La Rochelle has to offer. We will be back in the spring. We would have tried to spend money on the room service menu but felt it was a bit limited.

La chambre était très spacieuse et confortable, la décoration est très jolie, le personnel agréable.

Un peu bruyant, il y avait un bruit de fond toute la nuit, et le matin nous pouvions entendre le ménage des chambres et les voisins discuter.

We liked the location of hotel, good breakfast, friendly staff!

Unfortunately the nearest parking was closed due to festival.

Spacious family room, refillable water bottle, nice interior which however left the impression of sleeping in the same name shop.

Breakfast room was understaffed, coffee machine broken, buffet empty - on a sunday morning this is simply poor performance. Location is nice and central but you can also brace for a free concert of street musicians up around midnight. Windows don’t offer any sound isolation.

Paper cups in room that had to be reused until the next day and wooden sticks for stirring tea. Table was badly stained and furniture chipped. I put my breakfast card out for breakfast in the room breakfast didn't come.

Beautiful hotel in the center of La Rochelle, facing the 2 towers. Nice room, nice decoration. Large and comfortable bed.

The hotel staff alerted us before our stay of a big event happening in the centre of La Rochelle and the closure of the car park we normally use. They gave us information to find alternative parking, which was really helpful.

the port is beautiful

it was loud. people were loud in the streets until 2-3 in the morning. my room received the noise dead on. my friends did not have the same experience.

Location. Nice view from the window. Parking 2 minutes walk. But don't pay for parking at the hotel, paying for parking in the parking lot is cheaper (free parking at night).

1. Payment rules. Prior to arrival, the hotel debits the amount of 50% of the cost of the stay from the bank card. The deducted amount is not taken into account when paying for accommodation. The debited amount was refunded a month later. On 01/05/2023, The Hotel deducted 214 from my bank card (booking cost 460,28 euros). On 02/05/2023, when check-in, the amount of 460.28 euros was debited from the bank card, explaining that 214 euros is a blocking, which will be canceled the next day after the check-out. But the debited 214 euros were returned to my account only on 31/05/2023. In total, the hotel used my money for 30 days without any compensation and apologies. 2. The room is small and there is no place for suitcase and things. No hanger for jackets and raincoats. 3. Discomfort in the rooms. The door to the toilet opens inward and rests against the toilet when opened. It is very difficult to close the door while inside the toilet.

Everything ! We loved everything about our one night stay at Maisons du Monde.

Absolutely nothing. The hotel was spotless. The staff were very professional and friendly. The decor was very tasty and imaginative, and the location was perfect. We will be returning for a longer stay ASAP.

The hotel is very central and well located but is in a very busy location so there is a lot of noise from the port and the restaurant street through the night.

the aircon does not work in the whole hotel. They did not tell us until after check-in. Dishonest!!

Very central, right next to the iconic towers and with bars and restaurants on the doorstep. Friendly and helpful staff. Large public parking lot just around the corner.

I was allocated a room right next to the lift (the second time this has happened on this trip) and I had to pay extra for a different room. That one was quieter, but anyone over about 5ft tall, like me, would not be able to stand in the shower, which is under a sloping roof. Otherwise the hotel is nice.

The location was excellent with cafes & bars, places of interest. The staff were very pleasant & very helpful especially Jordan. The hotel is modern & chic. The breakfast is extra but very good & plenty of choice.

Our room was VERY small, there was a lot of black paint which made it feel smaller. The shower was dreadful, the temperature kept fluctuating & got extremely hot!

Perfect location right by the harbour. Clean and stylish interior with friendly staff. Comfortable bed.

We had the deluxe harbour view room. It was quite small, but had 4 issues, which many reviewers have been pointing out for years, but nothing has been done. #1 The bed is huge. It takes up most of the room, so you have to 'shuffle' around it. #2 lack of hooks and storage space #3 that beautiful view is hard to fully appreciate due to huge heavy curtains hanging in front which have to be lifted up and over the top of the window every time you open it, and even then, they still get in the way. Just install a roller blind instead. #4 The shower! It is ridiculous that the holder for it is below knee level. You have to squat in the bath and hold it over your head whilst juggling your shampoo/shower gel in the other hand. It's also cylindrical, so when you rest it in the bath to grab a bottle of shampoo or whatever, the water goes everywhere (see pic of shower holder). In addition, the extractor fan in the bathroom did not work. The air conditioning was broken, and 2 of the lamps in the room did not work. The desk was tiny, and there was only one uncomfortable seat in the room.

Superb breakfast, lovely interior design. Modern and comfortable!
