So the good first. The house is nice looking. The pool is large. The bathrooms are plentiful. There were so many issues however that it’s difficult to imagine how this home is listed on VRBO. 1. Undisclosed cameras observe both the pool and the outdoor SHOWER. That’s right. The host said later said he’d been watching and had photos of who was around the pool (see below). If that doesn’t creep you out to move on and find something better then continue reading. Because this train wreck didn’t stop there. 2. The air conditioner does not work in the kitchen / living room. It gets hot in there fast. After being notified the host got hostile and said that’s impossible because it was serviced in May. The host made no move to fix the units. The ones in the 3 bedrooms work great. 3. One of the hosts (apparently there are 3 brothers) showed up inside the property unannounced and without asking whether he could enter the property to “check on the pool”. I thought nothing of it at the time but after being told we were being monitored by video camera I think there may have been more motives. At any rate, hosts are obviously not supposed to enter the property without permission when a guest is staying there. 4. The bicycles provided, of which there are 4, not 6, are in varying states of disintegration. 2 had flat tires (inner tubes were finished) and 2 had bad brakes. Like on the verge of zero functional. The baby seat provided was left for us to mount, but no tools provided to mount it. When we asked about this we were told to find a bike store in town. Same response for the brakes and tires. The host said they were an amenity and whatever state the bikes were provided in is the way they are provided. We were told this twice. 5. The place has an ant infestation. We had to clean the outdoor areas regularly as a population of fire ants were regular visitors and were problematic with a toddler in the backyard. Maybe this one is me being picky? Not sure- but it’s a problem that needs to be taken care of. I’m taking the time to write a long review here, so there you go. Ants. 6. There are no shampoos or conditioners or body soaps provided. 7. The host is aggressive and hostile. When I messaged about the air conditioning and bikes one of the brothers showed up. Somehow it was my fault the bikes and the ac didn’t work. I’m not kidding. This guy had an excuse for everything. Eventually he left when we said we were calling the police.

My wife and I spent 3 weeks at this villa in June 2022. The villa is lovely. It has nice grounds with plenty of patio and grass area for sunbathing or shade. The pool is "L" shaped and has coloured lighting for sitting out of an evening or for when having a BBQ. The villa itself has just about everything you would want for self catering and there is Aircon in all 3 bedrooms and the lounge. There is even 2 bikes if you wanted to go out for a ride - there is a cycle lane running all the way along the beach front which could be used. This is currently being extended so there is a couple of miles to safe cycle if you wanted. The villa is very private with hedging around the garden and there are 3 gates (1 remote for the car) meaning when shut you are safe as they self lock. It also means kids cannot get out. When you go out of the villa you are in a short access road. At the bottom of this road simply turn right and right again and you can find your way down onto the beach front (2 minutes walk) or you can go into town further along the front (6 - 8 minutes walk). We liked the stroll into town as you can leave the car and enjoy your cocktails or wine without having to worry about driving back. The town square and roads leading off are all full of bars and restaurants so you can take your pick of many. Fantastic!!! There is MD Supermarket only 5 min walk away as you head into town and a Euro Spar (very good indeed) a 15 min walk away or a couple of minutes by car. If you want to see the capital Palermo I would recommend doing what we did, drive there one day, stay overnight in a lovely little hotel in the centre and then come back the next day. The drive is about 5 hours each way. We did the same when we visited Mt Etna and Stayed in Catarnia. Seek out the cable car (about 15 euros each) which takes you from the base upto about 2,500 ft. Great views of lava flows and of course Mt Edna smoking away as it does most of the time. Carmelo and Mariana were brilliant, just a phone call away if we wanted to ask them anything about the villa. We had a lovely break at this lovely villa - I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

The villa is exactly as described - very comfortable and well designed for a bigger group. The pool is huge and very private, the house as well, and close to all facilities. The owner is very helpful if you need anything. We stayed there with 4 adults, which is very luxury with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. I would recommend it to everybody. If you stay t here, pay a visit to Umore on the central square, for the best cocktails in town.

The villa was very modern and very well presented. The owner was reluctant to have the swimming pool opened as it was April but as soon as I asked him to reconsider he did and the pool was magnificent (although he was right it was cold due to the time of year). The villa is circa 200m down a fairly steep hill to the beach which is fantastic. The villa was very secure and very well appointed. The owner had even put out three bicycles to use during our stay which was an added bonus. Stunning villa, lovely location and beautiful area of Sicily, we would have no hesitation in using this villa again and we are contemplating going back August next year. Thank you to the family who hosted us, you were all fantastic and nothing was too much trouble for you.

We really enjoyed our holiday in Villa Virginia. It is very spacious and confortable, with a lovely pool, with plenty of loungers, and a private, well kept garden with lots of room for the children to play. The villa is just as described by the pictures, and as well as the 3 ensuite bathrooms there is an external shower with wc. It is very well equipped and both bathroom and swimming towels were provided. All the sheets were changed mid week. There is private parking for 2 cars. It is very well located in a quiet residential area, but close to shops, beach and restaurants, and a 15 minute walk to the centre. Communication with the owners was impeccable via WhatsApp. I cannot recommend this property too highly.

The villa is located in a nice and quiet neighborhood. It’s spacious, clean and everything you could possibly need is at hand. The garden is lovely with a beautiful dining area. The large swimming pool was very clean and refreshing. The villa is a small walking distance away from a supermarket and the sea. We would absolutely recommend staying in villa Virginia!

We couldn't have hoped for a better experience. The villa owner met us at the property and explained all the features, the photos do not do the pool justice, it was so beautiful. The whole villa is gorgeous. Really clean and spacious. The host was awesome, he was able to answer all our questions, and made us feel so very welcome. Thankyou for the amazing adventure we had. Highly recommended anyone to stay here :)

There is really not much we can add to all the great reviews this beautiful villa and it's owners already received. It's all true!:-) The villa is just perfect. It has a great pool which is big enough for really taking a swim, a very well cared for and beautiful garden and a spotlessly clean, stylish & comfortable interior. You can also walk to a really good beach in a couple of minutes. In addition to that the villa was already stocked with everything you might need to enjoy your stay. It is the best vacation home we ever rented and we hope to return soon. Thank you very much Sara & Sandro for your hospitality.

We were warmly greeted by Ennio who showed us round the house. The property is stunning, super clean and is well equipped, lacking nothing. The location is perfect, restaurants and the beach in walking distance. We spent wonderful days here, enjoyed the pool which is simply fabulous, Ennio even provided inflatable mattresses for the pool on request. Thank you! The only shortcoming was the noisy neighbour who decided to rebuild the garden just when we were there. Nevertheless, we highly recommend this property and will surely be back for a longer stay!

Very simple process, excellent communication with owner. Spotless and spacious. Games equipment and cycles provided too, though everywhere in Marina di Ragusa is eqsily walkable.

Had a lovely time in this clean and modern villa. Quiet location yet easy to walk into town.

Ein tolles modernes Ferienhaus/Ferienvilla mit allen Bequemlichkeiten die man sich nur vorstellen kann. Bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir sehr nett von einem der beiden Vermieter begrüßt und eingewiesen. Das Haus war sehr sauber und verfügt über drei Schlafzimmer mit "eigenem" Bad. Die Bäder sind im Übrigen noch sehr neu und in Sizilien eine moderne Ausnahme. Auch die Wohnbereiche, samt Klimaanlagen in allen wichtigen Räumen, lassen keine Wünsche offen. Der goßzügige Pool ist bestens zum Schwimmen geeignet und das gesamte Außengelände des Hauses einfach nur schön. Hervorheben kann ich den Einsatz der Vermieter, die bei Problemen oder Fragen sofort zur Stelle waren und sich wirklich gekümmert haben. Wir hatten eine tolle Woche in der "Villa Virginia" und können diese nur wärmstens empfehlen. Im Übrigen sind der Strand, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants mit wenigen Schritten schnell zu erreichen.

We also ventured down to the beach which is just around the corner. Big supernarket open every day is only a 1 minute drive away. Owners responded straight away with any queries we had and were lovely.In summary, the villa has everything you’d want.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Haus ist gut gelegen, der Strand und das Zentrum von Marina di Ragusa ist genauso gut fußläufig zu erreichen, wie der Bäcker und zwei (größere) Supermärkte. Der Vermieter ist im Umgang freundlich und entgegenkommend. Der Pool hat seinen Namen als solches verdient und in ihm kann nicht nur geplanscht werden. Die Bäder sind das modernste, was ich bislang auf Sizilien gesehen habe. Jedes Schlafzimmer hat abgetrennt vom großen Wohn-, Essbereich sein eigenes Bad im Zimmer. Auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert.

The house has been recently renovated to the highest standard and it really shows. All three bedrooms have stunning ensuite bathrooms and the living area is spacious and light. Large sliding doors open out onto a patio creating a huge indoor outdoor living space. This leads onto a beautiful swimming pool. We were greeted by the owners brother who ensured that we were well settled an had everything we needed. We would highly recommend this property.

The villa is newly refurbished, spacious and clean. The bedrooms are all large with en suite spacious showers rooms. The kitchen / living area is a lovely space to relax. The villa is well equipped including extra bedding / pillows. The aircon does a marvellous job of keeping the villa cool. There is an extra bonus of an outdoor toilet and shower (ideal when you have just got out of the pool). Outside there is lots of space including shaded areas, and a wonderful large L shaped pool, which includes a good sized shallow end (so perfect for families). The villa is located in a quiet area, but within a short walking distance of the beach, restaurants and supermarkets (we used the two bikes provided to go to a bigger supermarket, 5 minutes cycle away). The owners were very friendly and arranged for taxis to take us sightseeing, our favourite being Ragusa Ilba an amazing medieval town, only 25 minutes away by car. We would definitely recommend this villa.

We have just returned form a great 2 week holiday at Villa Virginia. The villa has recently been renovated so is even better than in the photos. The pool is amazing our children spent all day and night (the lighting means the water changes colour at night) in it. There is plenty of outdoor space with numerous loungers. Each of the good size bedrooms has own en-suite bathroom and theres a spacious light filled living area. The town has a wonderful beach with a lagoon making it safe for children of all ages to swim in. The owners were incredibly welcoming and helpful. With advice on trips and where to eat. They bought a welcoming gift of Sicilian food and wine

We have just returned from a fantastic holiday at Villa Virginia. The Villa is very clean and spacious, the beds were comfortable and it had everything that we needed. The outdoors area is amazing with a fantastic pool, plenty of sunbeds and seating and even a couple of bicycles. Sandro and Ennio (the owners) were great! They were very friendly and helped in anyway they could! Marina Di Ragusa is a lovely sea side resort with lots of great bars and restaurants (many on or overlooking the beach). There is also many beautiful Baroque cities within driving distance. Thank you again for a wonderful stay, I I would definitely recommend this villa and hope to return one day.

Just got back from a really lovely weeks holiday at Villa Virginia. Ideal family villa, all newly re-furbished so even better than the pictures! Very comfortable beds and spacious walk-in shower and ensuite. Spacious indoor area. Fantastic outdoor space, lovely big L-shape pool (which changes colour by night) and grassed areas, with loads of outdoor seating, loungers and tables. Very handy having outdoor loo and shower and utility room. Great location, nice stroll along seafront to restaurants and shops. Very helpful owners who came straight away when there was a problem with the water. Thank you for making us feel welcome and the delicious pastries you bought us for breakfast, and the pizzas and cherries you brought over one evening. Will be back!

Just returned from a very enjoyable stay in Villa Virginia. The villa itself is actually better than the pictures - rooms nice and big, facilities are good and the pool is beautiful. It is possible to just hang around the villa for your whole stay and still be content, but you are right next to a great beach - a short walk to the town centre which is typically Italian. On top of that you have the fantastic Baroque cities on your doorstep with good restaurants and cafes everywhere. We would definitely return.

This is a fantastic villa located in central Marina di Ragusa. It is within easy walking distance to the beach, great restaurants and two supermarkets, with a short drive to the marina and main boardwalk. The rooms are spacious and the villa is very clean and equipped with everything you need for a short or extended stay. It is well located to visit the beautiful towns of Ragusa Ibla, Scicli, Noto, Modica and Punta Secca, with a lovely pool and outdoor area to relax in on your return. Many thanks to our hosts who made us feel so welcome and ensured we had everything we needed throughout our stay. We hope to visit again soon:)
