we had chosen this hotel because it was a bit outside of Toronto and therefore not so expensive; to downtown (CN Tower) about 30 minutes by car; directly on the highway, but still quietly located; large, free parking space in front of the hotel; stores and restaurants not far away; we recommend the Italian restaurant Il Fornello on Kingston Road; we enjoyed the breakfast with porcelain dishes! (not least because it is good for the environment)

The breakfast was incredible and the staff was superb. I cannot say enough about the team!

Pool, breakfast and rooms were neat and clean.

Breakfast was good. Lots of choice for continental options, including oatmeal and they changed up the buffet hot breakfast items daily (but like all buffets, food cooled off quickly). Staff at the hotel were welcoming and helpful and found us a kettle to use in our room (first one didn’t work but they quickly changed it for us). A big bonus was a laundromat for hotel customers with 2 washers and 2 dryers. You need coins ($2.50 for each) and your own laundry soap, but a really good facility. Both the bedroom and living room had their own air conditioning units.

We had a (comfortable) king size bed with just queen size bedding so you had to sleep towards the middle of the bed to stay covered and ‘duvet’ looked similar to a mattress protector. The worst thing was that the pillows were old and lumpy. We asked for replacements, but if they were changed it was more of the same. While there were some very basic kitchen supplies, again they were not in great shape. However the area is well served with places to eat, so a variety of takeout is available.

Location perfect For trip purpose

Needs better breakfast. Eggs could be better were a bit dry, as well, I would have very much liked bacon served more often. We were there one week and I only saw it once. I was out of Canada and missed our bacon, it was disappointing not having it every day.

Furniture and carpeting was dated and a little worn.

The hotel and room were nicely decorated. The bedroom was really spacious with comfy beds and we were ok with the smaller living area and the kitchen. Having the two tvs was very nice. Having the fridge, dishwasher and microwave were great! I was happy there was a stove top, but we didn't get a chance to use it. Everything we requested was brought to the room in a timely manner. Staff were nice and having the breakfast was nice as well, egg whites would have made it great 😊

Unfortunately our check-in was not the best experience. I booked with a Debit Visa card as I would with an Airbnb and thought everything was fine, because days before going to the hotel I received an email about self-checkin. When we arrived I was informed that I had to have a credit card, which neither myself or my son had. We were told we had to pay an extra $250 for a deposit. Thank goodness we had the funds available, but what if we hadn't? This information should've been communicated when booking and with the reminders. That doesn't happen with Airbnb, every payment is broken down so you see all costs and the card you pay with is all you need. Communication is also better. I received emails from the hotel and when I responded I never heard back from them. One more heads-up those elevator doors close fast, be careful! And there was an old pack of muffins in one of the higher cupboards.

Kitchen could have been more stocked and the main couch was stained. They should be charged to faux leather so they can be wiped down with cleaner.

We chose a 2 bedroom suite. We drove from out of town for a family wedding. The location of the hotel was perfect, minutes from both the 401 & the venue. The room was huge and very clean. The beds were super comfy. We had plenty of room for 5 of us to get ready for the wedding thanks to the 2 bathrooms & large kitchen & living room area. The free breakfast in the morning was an added bonus. A perfect stay!

The walls were a little thin & we could hear other guests in their rooms.
