Good Italian restaurant + nice bar. Quiet place, some small shops, butcher, backer, French pastry shop, easy to find things to eat around...

The Carleton was close to the CTA and Metra, located downtown Oak Park, free parking, just an old fashioned, go back in time hotel that we stayed at to train into the city.

The beds were a small double, not quite a full double.

Good location, nice neighbourhood, right next to a train station with a less than half hour connection to the center. Very friendly staff.

Wifi is slow, not usable for online meetings. The interior is getting a bit old.

Noise of elevator next to our room and could hear people talking in hallway and pricey for the stay. No senior discounts on room either.

No toilet paper or Kleenex

I came to check in and no one was working the desk. There were people partying in the lobby who said, “she will be back..” I went to the restaurant to try to get help, that staff was kind. I waited 15 minutes or so and she finally came back. I came back to my car shortly after and she joined her friends partying in the lobby. It was so loud in the hallway I couldn’t sleep. Not a good stay.
