I booked an oceanfront condo but we were set back from the ocean and other buildings were closer and in front of us. The unit under us was being worked on. We dealt with banging noises, saws and sanders. We had painters on our actual balcony and looking inside our condo and windows. Plastic over our master bathroom window. The pictures shown on booking are not of the unit we stayed in. The units shown showed the 2nd bedroom as 2 queens or 4 bunk beds. This unit was no where in the booking pictures. We were told by the staff they had no other units available for us.

The location was perfect for me. Quiet and relaxing and super close to the beach. Which was awesome.

Some of the other people staying at the resort seemed a bit unfriendly. Mosquito bites

We LOVE the property . We have been staying at Makena Surf for over 20 years and the property and the beach is simply amazing!!!

This is the first time we have not had an exceptional unit to stay in. The price you pay should warrant a 5 star unit and it should be required to have high standards for the price charged. Unit G303 is a 3 star unit. It is small, not stocked well with pans, no griddle, no BBQ, the unit is dated, the dishwasher sounds terrible, the window blinds are hard to get up and down on the patio doors. I would not recommend this unit.

Wonderful place, great beach, and snorkeling, not crowded.

I would like it if the bedrooms in the oceanfront condo also had a ocean view. Would have been nice to hear the ocean while we slept.

The unit was clean and the views were nice.

unit was on the 3rd floor, there were some uninvited guest which the staff attempted to take care of. The room was oddly situated. twin beds were in the master bedroom and the king bed was in the room that shared a bathroom. Unit was a good walk to the beach. Unit we had on a previous visit, the beach was outside our back door. Thought we were getting a unit similar to what we had before.
