Great budget place to stay and enjoy Bend

Very comfortable bed. Within walking distance to downtown and nice restaurants and breweries, however immediate neighborhood might be a bit intimidating. I am OK with it. Proximity to many attractions supercedes off putting 2nd Ave

Good location in busy Bend ...

Motel West is a quick drive to Drake Park and prime Bend downtown properties. It's just off a major commercial strip, so restaurants, fast food, grocery stores and a Walmart were all close by, some within walking distance. Otherwise, the room met my three key needs as it was safe, clean and comfortable.

Bend has it's share of homeless residents, some of whom were camping in tents across from the main driveway. The room had a strong smell of cleaning products, which is both good and bad. I paid in advance through Booking.com, but the front desk person asked how much I was charged, and rang up the fee again. The second charge was refunded, but the situation shouldn't have come up at all.

Looks sketch outside but it's fine with good rooms

This is the second time I've stayed here. Location is good to walk downtown. The rooms are nice inside. Wifi was better this time. Good cheap place.

The place looks sketch on the outside, there's a homeless encampment across the street, but the rooms are nice and there are no problems. Not a romantic place.

okay place for a brief stay on short notice...looks pretty scary from the outside but it was alright

We were riding on motorcycles and with the tent city right across the street I was a little concerned about our motorcyc

Way cheaper then anywhere else.

All considered, a very good value for a short stay.

Nice modern furniture, e.g. a big screen TV, a good-sized fridge.

The pillow was way too thin and tiny. A high and firm pillow would add a lot more comfort.

Horrible cigarette smell!

The room wreaked of smoke and the door looked like it had been broken into. The faucet was finally to close and there was no netting on the window. I was also charged $50 for my 2 small dogs per night and the room was filthy with smoke. Super unhealthy fir my pets and my infant which I informed property would be with me ahead of time.

For the room to actually be smoke free since it was non-smoking. Would have been nice to have a working window too.

Staff was nice.

Room smelled like smoke. Door was difficult to lock. Towels were stained. Could hear through walls. Loud carts outside. Hairdryer and waste basket melted.

Some “campers” across from parking lot - but property was well lit and felt secure. noise from upstairs person walking around (but not a complaint for the price!)

Clean, safe and newly renovated

Super Fantastic deal. I've stayed in many places along the west coast and this is by far the most comfortable and the most affordable
