Walls too thin, one can hear the room next door, people talking, laughing, especially late in the night.

Staff did not see too welcoming or caring. Prices are higher than expected, I would have expected more customer care at this rate.

I wanted to like this property. It has a lot going for it — great location, very nice public areas, room was as expected for a four star hotel. I also like a smaller hotel, which has the potential to be more intimate and friendly, but for my opinion on that see below.

The service, including the food was disappointing. I expected friendliness, but each time a needed something from the front desk there was an issue. Several times the person manning the desk was in a back room requiring you to call out. An unenthusiastic young person would then emerge. At other times — as when I wanted to check out — there was just a sign saying they had stepped away. In the three nights I stayed there my room was not cleaned once.I did spend some time in the room, but let them know when I would be gone for a few hours or most of the day, but each time I returned the room was untouched. Worst, in my opinion was the food. The first day I ordered a croissant for breakfast, which the person put in the microwave without asking. When I said I preferred a cold one to the hot deflated mess I was presented with, I was told all the baked products were from yesterday. Still, I was charged $6.50 for a day old croissant. The second day I ordered a kale Caesar salad, which consisted of 50% croutons and was inedible. In addition, both I and some other guests had problems with the keys, which was reluctantly attended to. All in all this could have been a wonderful hotel if they put some heart and soul in it. As it is, I will not stay there again.
