Upon arriving, we were greeted by Keith, who was so sweet and made us feel very welcome. That is something I definitely notice when I walk into a hotel. A smile and a friendly hello makes all the difference and Keith showed that! Room and bed was very comfortable and the pool was wonderful. Perfect temperature of water! Loved how the pool was open 24 hours, unlike other hotels that close by 10, cause after a fun filled day, it was nice to go for a swim and sit in the hot tub before heading to bed 😊

There was an odor in the 5th floor hallway that was horrible. I believe it was coming from either the ice machine or pop machines.

The level of noise when the hotel room doors close is ridiculous. If they are left to close on their own, they slam and the walls rattle. This happened a LOT at all hours. Walls are paper thin between rooms. Hotel is supposed to be 100% smoke free, but a previous tenant in our room wrapped the smoke detector in a plastic bag, which was a massive safety hazard. No telling how long it was actually there. Someone staying in a nearby room also smoked marijuana at least twice during our stay which we noticed because the skunk smell permeated our room both times - once was around 2AM and the smell was so strong it woke us up. We reported the smell and the bag on the smoke detector. They sprayed air freshener in our room once and said they’d investigate the smell and also have housekeeping check the detectors.

There was only one elevator and it was slooooow! You cannot charge snacks to your room. I asked for a late checkout (noon) but my key was still turned off at 11am and I couldn’t get back into my room. Just odd to me.

Love this place! Have stayed here a couple of times now. Great location and pet friendly. Staff very friendly, clean comfortable rooms. No pet smells at all. Plan to stay again this year in September cant wait!

They refused to change us to a handicap ♿️ room and the 76 year old thermal lady feel out of the bed at 2 am because she said the bed was too hard .she busted her head and was bleeding we call the dest and they want to call 911 so they sent a nice strong guy up to lift her into A chair, so she sleep Ina chair we didn't get any sleep.

The staff were extremely nice and rooms were very clean.

There were a lot of pets which isn’t the issue. The issue was when the guests left for the day and would leave a barking dog which woke us up every morning. This caused all the dogs on the floor to bark as well. Maybe all pet owners need to be in one area.

The pool was nice, we had Fun for a few hours there. The rooms were OK, definitely good enough to be comfortable & sleep well.

The elevator is a disaster. Everybody has to come down one elevator, and a very slow elevator at that. Breakfast was laid out very well, but basically had no flavor.

Location to activities and restaurants

I am not opposed to dogs, but EVERY room in the building was pet friendly. Since I am not used to indoor dogs the smell of the room was very repulsive to me. I wasn’t asked at time of booking if this was a problem or I would have found other accommodations. I realize that todays society feels the need to have their pets with them every hour of every day. However I feel that some rooms should be left for people who don’t like the smell of dogs. I have stayed in LaQuinta Inns for many years but if I cannot have a room that is free of the smell of pets, I will be finding a hotel that better suits my needs. Therefore I wasn’t very pleased with my stay.

The location was perfect!! The coffee and beverage area was wonderfully convenient my grandson loved the indoor pool the ice cream bar was a big hit after the pool too!!

The floors in the room could be cleaner but overall it was good!!

The breakfast was good. Loved the walk in shower. Everything was very clean from the room to the lobby and dining room. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The bed was very high off the floor and was hard to get on and off of. Not the best mattress, a little lumpy. Also would have liked a 6:30 start time for breakfast.
