Location was quiet.

I missed the road leading to the motel. It is set back from the main road and hard to see. The dresser in my room was very shabby. Sections were broken and one handle was missing.

Not expensive

No drinking water in the room. Anyone could go up to your floor without the key.

The Staff was very helpful and astute in addressing and resolving any problems that we encountered.

The indoor pool was closed & I wasn’t aware until until a few days before arrival. It could have been a little cleaner. We asked for clean towels and didn’t receive them. We had to go to the desk to get them.

Very nice front desk staff. Good breakfast with lots of options. Good location and close to UNCW. Check out time is noon which worked out great for my needs this trip

The facilities were a bit worn with chips and stains on wood. our room had a large pink stain on the carpet. Our toilet was in need of repair because it didn’t flush very well. unless you held the handle down for a long time. The pool and hot tub were closed for maintenance

The property was a good location very quite , love the feel of the environment especially coming from New York where it’s pretty loud. Very convent food, stores were literally in walking distance

I didn’t like the fact they did not tell the truth about having the pool open. I called before I booked and sent a message to the property . I was told the pool was open.. only to get there after driving 13 hours with my 5 year old to learn no pool for her. The response from the hotel was you can cancel by 12 get a full refund and find another hotel. I found that disrespectful : especially the fact we were tired. Also I booked to pay at the property when I arrived I was contacted in the middle of my driving to pay or the reservation would be canceled. Just not good business at all, oh yeah the carpet in the hotel was disgusting

That the laundry washer was down. Also vending machine down for drinks.

Large sticky brown stains on the floor in room, not enough bedding for guests (we asked each day for more), smoke detector was going off due to low battery, and staff told us to just remove it from the ceiling and take out the battery (we had to stand on furniture to get to it), very loud neighbors playing party music past 2am (we had to complain many times each night and nothing was done), only one staff member on premise (limited ability to help), weird smell throughout hotel, cockroaches in room (alive), huge spiders and spider webs near entrance.

The pool was not open.

Staff were very friendly and curteous. Breakfast was very good, but the coffee not so good. The facility was clean with ample parking which was well lit on the front and sides.

The room had a smoked smell to it and the door was difficult to open and close. The pool was not in service. I had to attend a funeral so it was on short notice. My sisters secured lodging elsewhere and on even shorter notice and paid $25 less per night at a comperable hotel.

They could invest in keeping the facilities in better conditions

Staff were friendly. The hotel was clean and well staffed. The beds were comfortable. The shower was hot with good water pressure.

A/C wouldn't cut off.

I liked the location, the breakfast, the prices, check out time, and it was comfortable.

The fact that the side doors “didn’t work”

Musty smell, turned out to be mildew. Door hard to open, close, and put security lock on it.

Pool and hot tub were closed for repairs. A/C in room needs HVAC serviced...1st thermostat needs new batteries before it would work, maintenance man appeared 2 hours after our check in and went to wet vac the A/C drip tray and then replaced thermostat battery. A/C worked most of the night until A/C drip trayed filled up with water and tripped the shut off feature. Did some trouble shooting myself, maintenance guy came and wet vac A/C drip tray while we were at the beach. Figured out that to keep A/C running we had to use a trash can from the bathroom to empty the A/C drip tray (see pictures) of water or else we would be without cold A/C. Appears that this was a known problem as the insulation around the A/C drainage pipe has already been pealed away and a hole was made in an attempt to clear the clogged line. Staff did not offer to change room assignment or discount for all our troubles. Also, room had exposed electrical light switch (must have been recently painted)

the property was very run down including foul smells , faulty AC with loud noises and banging only working partially. the pool had green very stagnant water in it . the front desk people was rude and there was no management on site. it was dirty and we were very disappointed, oh I forgot to say they have a government program where they allow extended stay to homeless people… they told us because they were hanging around the front of the hotel all day. Thus hotel needs to be closed fine or turned into a half way house. we paid $904.00 for 2 nights fir 2 rooms , thus way about $904.00 too much.
